Gavin Metz Racing

Last weekend Gavin had races 5 & 6 with KC Karting Association in Liberty.

Saturday was the 2nd pill draw of the season. A pill draw is where each driver draws a number and they use the numbers to determine the lineup for the 1st heat. In the 2nd heat, they invert the order. Then they total the points from the 2 heats to determine the lineup for the final. In the final he lost a few spots at the start and fought hard the rest of the race to gain those few spots back finishing 4th for the day.

Sunday was back to the normal race schedule. Gavin qualified 3rd and was able to hold his position in the prefinal. In the final, he was able to make a clean pass into 2nd and maintained that position for the remainder of the race to the checkered flag! 🥈 🏁
