Happy New Week. It will be a good one.

The smallest act of care can echo louder than the grandest gesture of wealth.

She said almost nothing that morning. You couldn't easily tell if she was going through something or just enjoying her quiet time.

Then someone asked about her childhood. She talked for twenty minutes as we listened.

Sometimes the best activity isn't Bingo, going out shopping or bowling. It's remembering that your story still matters.

“I'm worried about leaving my dad alone.”
She said over the phone.

We listened without interrupting, understood and explained what Truman Ridge could offer, from supervision, activities, meals, nursing support and transportation.

Her worry didn't disappear completely but it became manageable. When she enrolled him, everything changed very fast. She is no longer worried. Her dad calls Truman Ridge Adult Day Center his second home.
