We are excited to welcome Rachael Lawrence-Lupton to the GLR Executive Committee as our new President-Elect. Please join us in congratulating Rachael on her new position!

Rachael has been a music therapist since 2008 and has had the opportunity to practice not only in Southeast Michigan, but also in the Chicagoland area, and Southern California. She has trained practicum students, interns, and professionals from across the country and regularly presents at GLR conferences. Rachael served 2 terms as the most recent VP of Michigan Music Therapy, was the regional membership standing committee chair for 10 years when she took on the regional AIAC standing committee chair, and is now the co-chair of AIAC. Her current company, Gentle Care Music Therapy, LLC, was formed 1 year ago where she provides in person and virtual 1:1 and group music therapy primarily for seniors.

The moment you've all (hopefully) been waiting for....

The GLR is pleased to announce we will be accepting applications for 2026 Community Support Awards!

Community Support scholarships were withheld from the 2026 budget due to a projected deficit, however because of the financial success of the 2026 GLR Conference, we are able to make it happen!

Applications will be accepted until November 20, 2026. Please direct any questions to Past President, Todd Schwartzberg, at [email protected].
