Say hello to my little friends! They are from Sand Hollow inside the dive park. Many I know individually as they always hang at the same places where I scuba dive almost daily this time of year. Some have fun personalities and can be bold! The colors may not be as bright as tropical fish, but when you look closely they can be quite striking and beautiful. They make great photo subjects for practicing underwater photography when I'm not guiding divers or leading students. Enjoy!

Took this photo on the recent Fiji trip last month. Looks just like Moorish Idol but as I looked closer at the shorter snout it is actually a longfin bannerfish. There were Moorish Idols there as well, I'll see if I can find a photo of them to show the difference.

Fiji was amazing! Just returned from a week of exploring insanely healthy coral reefs and stayed at one resort that we'll be taking a larger group to visit in 2027. Their dive operation is top notch. The crew and wait staff are so genuinely kind and helpful. I also worked on my underwater photography skills with a new setup. I'll be posting more pics!

As most of you know, I organize group dive travel to many places. Whenever the destination is new to me, I make every effort to first go on my own to get the lay of the land (and water) so that when I bring my group I can assist with providing the best travel tips, answer questions and ensure there are no surprises -- all so your trip is seamless and unforgettable. For the group coming with us to Fiji next summer, I can tell you that it will be epic! And I gathered a lot of helpful notes that I'll be passing on. Enjoy the photos and see notes below each one.

Here is a photo from our trash pick up dive along at sand hollow last month. I need to be better about group photos- apologies to those that left before I took this. What an awesome group of divers, picked up some garbage, had a great dive, and thanks to my amazing wife we had even pizza waiting when we got out, which always hits the spot after diving! Thanks again to all who helped keep our dive park clean!
