🏁POST-RACE REPORT🏁

What. A. Night. 🔥

After laying down the FASTEST time in qualifying, the Jeremy Goble - Alfa Insurance #62 Buzz Car was disqualified from qualifying for not having the hood on the car after we had been working hard to fix an issue right before our run.

That took us from what would've been the POLE all the way to the BACK OF THE FIELD for the feature.

When the green flag finally dropped, things got wild immediately. The original start was called back after the front row jumped the start, and once we finally got racing, it was GAME ON.

Starting from the rear, we fought fiercely through the field, picking them off and working our way toward the front.

When the checkered flag flew…

From fastest in qualifying → DQ → starting in the back → finishing 4TH.

We would've loved to have seen what this car could've done starting from the pole, but we're very proud of the fight this team showed tonight. We didn't load it up, we didn't give up, and we didn't let a setback determine how our night was going to end.

They sent us to the back. We drove it right back to the front.💪🏼🏁

The results from the event on Saturday night, August 29th, 2026. Congratulations to Zach Johnson who went to Window World Victory Lane in the Late Model division, Kyler Huffine in the INEX U.S. Legends Cars and Jaxson Riley in the INEX Bandoleros!

The Legendary Huntsville Speedway will return to action next Saturday night, September 5, 2026 featuring the Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Sportsman, Hot Shots, and Buzz cars. Pit gates will open at 3PM, grandstands will open at 4PM, with qualifying starting at 6PM and racing at 7PM.

🏁 Mid-RACE DAY UPDATE 🏁

We had the FASTEST qualifying time tonight and put the #62 at the top of the board for the pole! 🔥

Unfortunately, we were disqualified from qualifying because the car did not have the hood on during our run. We were thrashing on an issue with the car right before qualifying and had to get it out on track before time ran out.

That means instead of starting from the pole, we’ll be starting at the BACK of the field.

But one thing we know now — this #62 has SPEED. 💪

We know what kind of race car we’ve got underneath us, and now it’s time to put our heads down, work through traffic, and see how far we can drive this thing toward the front.

Fastest car starts in the back. Time to go to work. 😎🏁

From a disaster a month ago, to a complete rebuild, to fuel issue all evening keeping us from Qualifying. We finally got it running to have to start in the back. We started our pace laps before the race to have sparking our nut backing off our starter post and arcing our wires which lead to a fire under the hood. After safely exiting the race car Huntsville Speedway officials was fast to extinguish the fire under the hood. So as you can imagine fuel issues and sparks later that ignited from residue of fuel under the hood. But hopefully with a few fixes we will be back next weekend to finally get to try our new motor out. Stay tuned…. This season still ain’t over yet!

Finally the big wait is over!

Today, as our nation celebrates 250 years of American independence, all of us at Davis 2 Motorsports want to pause and reflect on just how blessed we are to live in the greatest country on Earth.

The freedom to chase our dreams, spend our weekends at the racetrack, build race cars in our garages, support local businesses, and compete alongside friends and family is something we never take for granted. None of it would be possible without the brave men and women who have defended our nation and the freedoms we enjoy every single day.
