Another successful show weekend for Regal Sport Horses! From great rounds to championship ribbons, our horses & riders gave us plenty to celebrate. So proud of this team!

✨ Olivia & Porter
Back in the show ring for the first time in 18 months, Olivia & Porter had a fantastic weekend in the Short/Long Stirrup division,earning top placings & Grand Champion honors! What a team !

✨ Karin & Kronk
After a year away from the show ring, this weekend was about setting a goal, putting in the work, stepping back into the ring & seeing that goal come to life. Consistent top finishes in every class and 4th place finish in the Crossrails Derby.

✨Elieta & Sara Catherine
A fantastic weekend showcasing just how versatile this partnership is! On Saturday they stepped into the Hunter ring, then switched gears on Sunday to schooling Jumpers winning Reserve Champion.

✨Freedom’s Flash & Gracely
A strong weekend in the jumper ring with consistent top finishes in the Schooling Jumpers & a 3rd place finish in the Jumper Stake. Great rounds, great progress & a solid weekend for this pair!

✨ Denali & Brooke
With Brooke in the irons, Denali’s first show with the Regal Sport Horses team was a weekend focused on learning, gaining experience & figuring out what he needs to continue developing in the show ring.
He earned multiple Top 4 finishes in the GAG/Schooling Hunter division, making for a valuable weekend of miles, education & progress.

✨ Ultimate Jazzman & Brooke
With Brooke in the irons, Ultimate Jazzman had an incredible weekend in the 2’ Hunters, sweeping all four GSEC 2’ Hunter classes with 1st place finishes. A fantastic result for this sales horse!

When researchers measure neurological complexity, they look at how many systems the brain must coordinate simultaneously under real-time, unpredictable conditions. By that definition, horseback riding ranks among the most demanding activities a human body can perform. Consider what is happening neurologically during a single ride: Your vestibular system is processing three-dimensional movement and micro-balance corrections at every stride. Your cerebellum is coordinating muscle sequencing across your entire body — independently on each side — to communicate through seat, leg, and hand. Your prefrontal cortex is making strategic decisions: pace, line, timing, response to the horse’s behavior. Your limbic system is managing emotional regulation in real time, because emotional dysregulation communicates directly to your horse and changes his behavior. All of this is happening simultaneously. On a living animal making its own decisions. A paper published in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science noted that horseback riding activates postural muscles in patterns that differ significantly from standard exercise — requiring constant, involuntary neuromuscular adaptation to the horse’s movement. There is no machine that replicates this. There is no class that duplicates it. For women over 40, this neurological complexity is not incidental. It is protective. The brain maintains what it is regularly required to do. Riders are regularly required to do something extraordinarily demanding — and they call it a hobby. This weekend marked Millie’s very first horse show! She stepped into the ring with confidence, embraced every learning opportunity, and gained valuable experience throughout the weekend.

✨Hanah and Neverland’s Darling
Made her horse show debut this weekend! From navigating the show environment to stepping into the ring, she approached every challenge with a positive attitude and determination.

✨ Sara Catherine McDonald & Elieta
Top Placings in all Hunter classes and then stepped into jumper land on Sunday and came home with ribbons in every class including a 2nd-place finish!

Now it’s time to get back to work this summer, building skills, gaining confidence, and setting goals as we prepare for an exciting fall show season ahead. 🍂✨
