🔥 CHRISTIAN CRAIGHEAD × SOLGW OB1 — SPECS & DETAILS
Since my rifle is the original 13.7-inch version, here’s the breakdown that applies to that first-generation OB1 Craighead Signature Rifle rather than the updated 2026 version.

🇬🇧 The collaboration
The OB1 was built by Sons of Liberty Gun Works to Christian Craighead’s specifications. SOLGW describes Craighead as a former senior member of the British Army’s 22 SAS, and the rifle carries his Blackbeard Boarding Party branding along with his trademarked version of Rhodesian Brushstroke camouflage. Each Cerakote pattern varies from rifle to rifle, making each one visually unique.

Bolt carrier group: SOLGW full-auto-profile BCG
Charging handle: SOLGW Liberty ambidextrous charging handle
Receivers: Forged 7075-T6 aluminum
Buffer system: SOLGW intermediate/A5-style system with A5H2 buffer
Trigger: SOLGW Liberty 2-Stage, approximately 4.5-lb total pull
Safety: 50-degree quick selector
Finish: Craighead-spec Rhodesian Brushstroke Cerakote
Special engraving: Blackbeard Boarding Party logo
Warranty: SOLGW lifetime warranty
The original SOLGW 13.7″ L89/HUX configuration used the 13.7″ HPT/MPI 4150 CMV barrel, 13.75″ L89 handguard, mid-length gas system, and pinned-and-welded HUXWRX QD flash hider.

🏴‍☠️ What makes the OB1 special
This isn’t just another SOLGW rifle with a special paint job. The entire package was created around Christian Craighead’s preferred fighting-rifle configuration, with the Blackbeard Boarding Party engraving and Rhodesian Brushstroke finish separating it from the standard SOLGW lineup. The L89 rail uses the Drive Lock system with anti-rotation features and integral QD locations.

⚠️ Important 2026 update
SOLGW has changed the current-production OB1. The 2026 version now uses the newer P3 chrome-lined barrel system and is offered in 11.5″ and 14.5″ configurations instead of the original 13.7″ configuration. The new P3 barrels use 1:7 twist, .223 Wylde chambers, chrome-lined bores and chambers, and 5/8×24 muzzle threads.

So my 13.7″ Craighead OB1 represents the original configuration—the version that launched the collaboration. 🔥🏴‍☠️🇺🇸
