Bridgeland Girls Flag Football

We started this team a year ago and today we earned our first two tournament wins.

I’m super proud of these athletes and the results of their effort on the field today.

They got better with every game today but lost to the eventual champions in the quarterfinal.

It was a GREAT day of football.

We are at the Texans game tonight! If you look closely on Tv you will see our players and coaches manning the flag on the field for the national anthem.

If you missed our formal tryouts, it’s not too late, but you need to contact us ASAP if you want to play for Fall.

We have girls as young as 3rd grade and as old as 8th grade.

We have also had interest from high school aged girls, but not enough to start a team yet.

And that’s a wrap on Cy-Fair Sports Association Summer League!

Our middle school teams finished first and second!

First Coach Kevin’s team won their semifinal game against the Raiders to advance to the final.

Then Coach John’s team won a triple overtime thriller against the Texans, prevailing in a PAT shootout to win the game setting up a Bears vs Bears final!

These girls played their hearts out and everyone took home some hardware!

We met some outstanding athletes at yesterday’s tryout.

We are holding our last formal session tonight at 6pm at Dragonfly Park.
