I think networking has gotten a bad reputation.
Somewhere along the way it started feeling like you had to walk into a room, hand out business cards, and try to impress as many people as possible.
But now, I realize most of my opportunities have come from completely normal conversations.
Waiting in line, volunteering or talking to the person standing next to me.
None of those started with me trying to get something, they just started.
Do you think we've overcomplicated networking?

One thing I’ve noticed in healthcare is that we do a lot of clinical training — which we absolutely need — but there are three areas that often get missed, and they directly affect whether teams stay strong or burn out.
The first is how staff work with families, because not every difficult family interaction is about attitude — sometimes people just haven’t been taught how to manage emotional conversations well.
The second is how people work with each other. Shift tension, miscommunication, small frustrations — those things add up fast.
And the third is how staff communicate with leadership, because when people don’t feel comfortable speaking up, problems sit too long.
Those three areas make a huge difference in resilience.

Entrepreneurship can feel lonely until you realize you're building alongside people asking the same questions, facing the same fears, and chasing similar goals.
I'd love to meet more entrepreneurs.
Tell us:
Who you are.
What you are building.
What's one challenge you're working through right now.
If you're looking for a community of entrepreneurs who learn and grow together, join us (link in my bio)

One of the biggest surprises of entrepreneurship?
It isn't learning how to run a business.
It's learning how to manage yourself.
Fear.
Comparison.
Self doubt.
Overthinking.
Decision fatigue.
Most of us spend more time fighting our own thoughts than we do our competition.
That's why Founder Mindset has become such an important part of the free Foundations online community.
The business grows as you grow.
What's been the biggest mindset challenge you've had to overcome as an entrepreneur?

As everyone celebrates freedom this weekend, I want to offer a different kind of reflection:
What does freedom actually look like for you as an entrepreneur?
For some, it’s financial, it's time or freedom to build something that reflects who they are.
But freedom in business is built decision by decision, boundary by boundary, rep by rep.
So this weekend, while everyone is celebrating remind yourself of this...What does freedom mean to you?
Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

My mother used to tell me, "You never know who's watching."
This week, I had the opportunity to interview for a local TV segment as a subject matter expert for Foundations.
The interesting part?
I didn't ask for the opportunity.
The invitation came because someone had watched me over time, seen how I showed up, and trusted the quality of my work
It made me wonder...
How much of entrepreneurship is really about marketing... and how much is about earning trust?
What's been your experience?

When leaders feel steady, teams feel safe.
