The Product Isn’t Finished When the Sample Arrives

A sample is not the finish line. It’s where the real work begins.

One thing I've learned in product development is that getting the first sample in your hands is only part of the process.

Then the questions start:

Does the fit work?
Are the colors right?
Is the material what we expected?
Does the construction make sense?
Can the factory actually produce it consistently?
Can we improve it before production?
And most importantly—will the customer be happy with the finished product?

Right now, we're working through exactly this process on several projects.

We're adjusting dimensions, reviewing colors, changing components, testing materials, working through factory questions, and making sure the product is right before it goes into production.

That's what I mean when I talk about being a Product Life Cycle Guide.

It's not just about finding a factory.

It's about staying involved until the product is right.
