Congratulations to Adrian Garcia, our team captain and graduating senior, on an incredible accomplishment! Adrian earned his associate degree from Lone Star College before even receiving his high school diploma. Your hard work, leadership, and dedication have truly set the standard. Congratulations to Michael Hayes on receiving the Spotlight Award for winning District in the 100 Free two years in a row! Back-to-back district champion is a huge accomplishment, and we can’t wait to see what you do next year.

Last Swim send off for Adrian Garcia Class of 2026!

Today we celebrate Adrian Garcia and all he has accomplished at Dekaney.

Adrian is a four year member of the Dekaney Swim Team who has shown dedication discipline and heart every single season. His commitment to excellence did not stop at the pool. As a member of the Boy Scouts and a student in the P Tech program Adrian balanced athletics and academics at a high level. He earned recognition on the Dean’s List at Lone Star College which is a true testament to his work ethic and focus.
Now he is taking the next step in his journey. Adrian will continue both his education and swimming career at Sam Houston State University where he will major in Criminal Justice.

Adrian we are so proud of the young man you have become. Your leadership consistency and determination have made a lasting impact on the Dekaney Swim Team. We wish you so much success in the classroom in the pool and in this exciting new chapter. Once a Wildcat always a Wildcat.
