Twin Cities 16U Breeze Past Tomball Heat

Twin Cities 16U won big over Tomball Heat 9-0 on Saturday.

Twin Cities 16U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Scarlett Hein doubled to right field, and Tomball Heat committed an error, each scoring two runs.

Twin Cities 16U added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning on five hits. Ava Bentancur homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Hein singled, scoring one run.

Twin Cities 16U added one run in the third. Adisyn Vincent flew into a double play, making the score 9-0.

Hein earned the win for Twin Cities 16U. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Mylee Martinez took the loss for Tomball Heat. The pitcher went two innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking three. Danielle De Los Santos pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Twin Cities 16U in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking none.

Bentancur and Hein each drove in three runs for Twin Cities 16U. Hein went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Twin Cities 16U in hits. Aliza Rodriguez, Abbie Vincent, and Bentancur each stole multiple bases for Twin Cities 16U. Twin Cities 16U ran wild on the base paths, collecting seven stolen bases for the game. Twin Cities 16U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Valaree Jimenez had the most chances in the field with four.

Tomball Heat turned one double play in the game.
