I have a long history of involvement in the Houston Bar Association and family law organizations working to represent attorneys and helping to provide continuing legal education for lawyers. I have practiced in both civil litigation and family law and have brothers that practice in civil litigation and plaintiff's' law along with criminal defense which helps me understand that needs of lawyers wit
h the State Bar. I have been board certified in family law since 2010 and a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 2015. I have been involved in the Houston Bar Association where I was a co-chair of the John K. Eikenburg Fun Run Committee in 2012/2013 and 2013/2014, along with being a committee member on the Specials Olympics Committee. I was also an Ambassador to the Houston Bar Association from 2013-2015. I have been a board member of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation since 2014 and have been on the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Board of Directors since 2015. I am a frequent speaker and writer about famly law issues for State Bar CLEs, Houston Bar Association CLEs, and Speakers Bureau events. I served as the Editor to the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists (TAFLS) from 2012-2015 and I have been a board member since 2015. I recently co-chaired the 2017 Trial Institute in Charleston, South Carolina. I earned by B.B.A. from the University of Texas in 2000 and my J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 2003. I have been involved in Junior League since 2003 and volunteer with Victory (American Cancer Association).
