Some of you may already know. I am battling some physical health issues this year and will no longer be able to perform my duties as the Tournament Director for Media Bass Austin Division.

Benny Love will be stepping in as the interim Tournament Director for the remainder of the 2026 regular season. Benny has been fishing Media Bass for many years, and my existing Media Bass team will continue their support capacity as needed.

Nothing in the administrative side is changing. Anglers will continue sending their entries using the Media Bass online process or my Venmo or PayPal accounts. At the end of the year, qualifying anglers will receive a 1099 for the entire 2026 season from Media Bass Austin Division.

Benny will be running the morning activities (registration\check-in) and the remaining Media Bass team will assist in the afternoon activities (weigh-in). I will continue to perform the live-well checks from my boat for the four LBJ events in February and March.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via the usual channels.

It was a beautiful spring day in December with stiff winds out of the southwest. Many anglers weighed just one or two bass with 19 zeros.

Kasen Keene took the win for the second week with a massive five bass limit weighing 30.47 points. Not far behind was Davion Spiller with five bass weighing 24.49 pounds.

Third place and big bass went to Craig Gilbert with a 15.40 pound limit anchored by a solid 7.88 pound bass.

We had a really great turnout this month. I look forward to seeing everyone after the holidays. The next event is on Lake Travis!!

Merry Christmas!
Have a safe and happy new year.
