🚨 2026 USMS NATIONAL FINALS — ELIGIBILITY UPDATE! 🚨

We’ve made important changes to the National Finals Eligibility & D Placement process to make sure riders have a fair opportunity to compete.

⭐ EVERYONE WILL HAVE A PATH TO QUALIFY!

Here’s what’s new:

Riders must be USMS members in good standing
USMS will review each rider/horse team’s 2026 season points and results to determine the appropriate Finals Division
Teams with two or more USMS shoots will be placed based on their 2026 season performance
If you haven’t earned placement points, we’ll review your available results
If you weren’t able to attend two USMS shoots, we can review results from a 4D mounted shooting event within the previous 12 months
If you don’t have 4D results, your most recent Main Match results can be mapped into a 4D format
Final Division placement will be determined by USMS using your available competition history

The goal is simple: place every rider/horse team in the division where they can compete fairly and competitively.

So if you were worried that you might not qualify for the 2026 National Finals — don’t count yourself out!

THIS WEEK IN THE ARENA
There are 3 shoots this week in Wyoming, Texas, and Michigan.

First up we have the Aramada Fair Shoot in Armada MI on August 18th. Technically this one is full, but you can still go out and support your fellow shooters if your in the Michigan area.

Next up we have Star Valley's Cowboy Shootout in Afton WY on August 21st & 22nd. This one has $5000 dollars added money.

Last but not least, we have Summertime in Sweetwater. on August 22nd & 23rd in Sweetwater Texas.
