When I shared with my LA Dance Family that we needed to continue the Legacy, more than one person told me, “You’re gonna fail if you don’t play bachata.” Little did they know that my mission was to show the new generation what they were missing—and that mission became a reality. ❤️‍🔥

Of course, I got a lot of backlash, but I kept going regardless. When I started the event at Taqueria, the people who were frowning because I purposely didn’t play bachata eventually became my regular students. And later, when bachata was played, the dance floor would clear… 😂

Well, now I’m so happy to see my friends in California doing the same! 🥳

Because seriously, bachata is already part of every so-called “Salsa Social” these days. It’s only fair to have one that is dedicated to Salsa pa’ los salseros. ❤️‍🔥
