I had felt called to do a cord cutting for myself for a minute and yesterday I finally made the time to do it.
My intention was centered around the collective energy I encounter through the work that I do. The things I may have absorbed, carried, or held onto that were never actually mine.
The bubbles at the beginning of the video caught my eye so I grabbed my phone to record an update at the exact moment the cord released.
I felt it.
Not metaphorically.
I felt it down to my bones.
Something shifted in my body. My breath changed. I felt lighter. Clearer. Almost as though there was suddenly more room inside of me.
And the feeling of that release surprised even me.
I spend so much of my life holding sacred space for other people. Yesterday was a reminder that those of us who work with energy need to turn our practices toward ourselves, too.
To clear.
To release.
To come back into our own bodies.
To call our energy home.
There is a difference between being open enough to serve and being so open that we carry what was never ours.
Today, I feel renewed.
Lighter.
More deeply rooted in myself.
And incredibly grateful that I listened when my spirit said, it’s time to let go.
