We are so stoked to be collabing with Hebron, CT Parks & Recreation for this event!

10-11 is the girls skate sesh! Whether you’re a girl who is a beginner or a ripper or somewhere in between come skate with us!

11-12 community skate for everyone! All levels and ages welcome!

Kyle and I will be available for coaching during both the girls and community sessions!

12-2 is the jam! Roll up, throw your best tricks, win prizes

Kids been begging to surf so I dusted off the rust and took her out this weekend

I learned to surf a few years before Shay was born

When she was born I knew I could take her snowboarding, skateboarding and MTB with me

But her not being born knowing how to swim in the ocean and my mid level surfing skills put it on hold….

It was so fun to get back out there

And she obviously loves it

I have a feeling we’re going to be surfing a lot in August and September ❤️

I may have put her on the board but kids in charge of her own progression. It’s been SO fun following her around the city this summer and seeing what that little brain is going to come up with next.

1st Girls Skate the Park in the books!

We are SO grateful for everyone that made this event possible, showed up to support the artists & skaters and…

most importantly THE GIRLS who came to SKATE…

In the rain…

+ 40mph wind gusts…

and a feels like temp of 35

Ma nature gave us a lil window & a few of the homies showed up with leaf blowers to help us dry the park

It was so sick to see the guys from the manchester skate community show up to support the girls like that

We got a few girls who have never skated rollin around the park with big smiles on their faces

Helped some others progress their skating

And held a jam for our rippers

And they RIPPED!

Until the rain came back

And it got way too sketchy for them to put down their tricks

So we moved it back to our mini ramp to close it out and the girls were fire

We could have canceled this event…

but when faced with the decision, staring out at the pouring rain and trees being blown sideways…

we said “F it, let’s just send it. We have 2 hours for it to clear”

We wanted the girls to have this event & show how commited we are to growing the girls skate community in CT

And the girls rolled up, despite horrible weather, showing us they want this community

We were blown away with how many there were & we can’t wait to see, when we get that beautiful sunny day, how big this event will pop off!

We’re planning another girls event this fall

In the meantime Amy & I are going to organize a monthly girls skate sesh at different parks around the state

I’ll never forget my 1st hike to the top of Peak 8 in Breckinridge. The air was so thin to this New Englander! I remember being so grateful for all of those Farmers Walks. Finally feeling the purpose of the 1,000’s of Rear Foot Elevated Split Squats I had done to date. 😂 Getting to the top, sitting with my legs hanging free knowing exactly the feeling Dave Matthew’s was talking about. Standing up, heart pounding, letting go of all fear and dropping into a feeling of freedom I had never felt on my board.

Since then I’ve done this many times on different mountains around the country but this lap will always hold a special place in my soul. ❤️
