A few youth traveled to Ellsworth for another State Shotgun Qualifier, and we’re excited to say MORE Ellis County shooters are officially STATE QUALIFIED!

Our 4-H Shooting Sports youth had the opportunity to help with scoring and loading trap houses for the FHSU Tiger 450!
While the youth were busy carrying boxes, loading trap houses, helping score, and being the gears to keeping the shoot moving, they were also getting a front row view of some incredible shooters from all over the country.
What a great experience for our youth to work behind the scenes, learn from some of the best, and see the sport they love at the next level!
Proud of the youth and adult mentors for showing up, working hard, and representing 4-H Shooting Sports!
Thank you to all the collegiate athletes, coaches, and spectators as EVERYONE was kind, respectful, demonstrating fantastic leadership! What a phenomenal display of sportsmanship across the board!

Gray County Qualifier
A few Ellis County Shooting Sports youth traveled to Gray County this past Saturday for a trap and s***t state qualifier.
🥈Jaxon H. brought home 2nd place in Jr Trap!
As a team, Ellis County finished 3rd Overall, with high scores from Catherine S., Jayten W., Evelyn S., Aaron M., and Trey B.
We’re proud of all of our youth for representing Ellis County and continuing to put in the work!

What a day for Ellis Co Shooting Sports!
Ellis County 4-H Shooting Sports hosted a successful Kansas Shotgun State Qualifier in Hays today, welcoming 16 counties and more than 130 youth shooters for a full day of competition.
Ellis County finished 1st as a team, with top scores from Jace H., Sean R., Eli M., Owen B., and Jayten W. Norton County finished 2nd, followed by Graham County in 3rd.
Individual results for Ellis County included:

🥇 Sean R. — 1st Place
🥈 Eli M. — 2nd Place after a tiebreaker
🥉 Jace H. — 3rd Place after a tiebreaker
Ellis County has now had more than 30 youth punch their ticket to the Kansas State Shotgun Match in October by earning qualifying scores at state qualifying matches held across Kansas.
The club would also like to thank Two Brothers & Pig BBQ and The Frozen Frog Snowcones for being on site and supporting the youth and families throughout the event.
It was a great day of competition and another strong showing from Ellis County youth. Congratulations to all of the shooters who competed today!
