Bear activity definitely increased last night, especially at the public land bait. Hunter is in the woods, now just waiting on sunlight to freshen up the other baits.

Getting a couple messages about open bait sitting spots.
Full for 2025 but have 1 spot open for 2026 yet.
2027 looks like it's full already too!

Bear tag results are out today. Only 1 hunter this year and it's a successful draw. Bring on Bear season!

Remember WI bear applications die Dec 10th. Been a couple of messages and texts. Already full for next season but adding more room the following since bait sitters will go first in 2026!

Congrats Jason on your first WI bear! Saw bears every time he sat. The big boys were still only showing up in the middle of the night and he decided to take this one this morning with the acorn drop coming right around the corner.
Smoked it with a 20 gauge slug. Only went 15 yards.
