Another home match, another home victory!! JV and Varsity put on a great show of teamwork and resilience tonight and defeated two very talented Richlands teams. Tonight’s MVPs:

JV: Outside Hitter Samantha Mallady and Libero Brooklyn Williams

Varsity: Setter Maggie Hirch and Middle Blocker Amari Smith

As part of our focus on “Building a winning culture”, Havelock Volleyball seniors started a new tradition this year where varsity players select two JV players as MVPs each match and JV does the same for varsity.

Today’s JV MVPs are outside hitter Claire Daughety and setter Annabelle Cassavant. Varsity MVPs are outside hitters Aniyah Gaskill and Brooklyn Willis.

Congratulations to the JV Rams who won their home opener against Pamlico in three exhilarating sets!

Varsity battled hard, winning the third set against a strong offensive Pamlico team, but came up short of a win, three sets to one.

Both teams return to competition on Thursday at West Craven. 🖤🤍🐏🏐
