Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Julian Curtiss School project, and it was a proud moment.

I served on both the JC Building Committee and the Feasibility Committee, and I have a personal connection to this one: all four of our kids went to JC, and my wife Jill was PTA president there and a constant volunteer over the years.

Projects like this take a village. So many talented and dedicated people gave their time and expertise to get this done, from committee members to town staff to contractors to the school community that kept showing up and cheering it on. I’m grateful to have worked alongside this team, and I’m proud of what we built together for the kids of Greenwich.

Congratulations to everyone involved. JC has a bright future ahead.

What a great Saturday spent with friends and neighbors!

I had a wonderful time at the Taste of Egypt Festival at St. Peter & St. Andrew Coptic Orthodox Church. Great food, great coffee, and even better conversations. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me and took the time to share a little bit of Egyptian culture and tradition with me. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year!

Later in the day, I headed over to the Greenwich Boat & Yacht Club for their annual Rock the Dock party. Another great evening with friends, and Billy and The Showmen put on a fantastic show!

Days like this are a great reminder of how many different organizations, traditions, and people make our community such a special place to call home.

I was honored to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Greenwich’s newest grocery store, DeCicco & Sons!

As a Greenwich Chamber of Commerce board member, it’s always exciting to welcome a new business to our community. The DeCicco family truly did this one right. The store smelled amazing, there were delicious samples around every corner, and the grand opening was filled with happy faces and full bellies.

If you’re looking for an authentic Italian grocery experience, be sure to stop by. I personally recommend the meatballs!

Happy Labor Day! Today, we honor the hardworking men and women whose skill and dedication keep our communities moving.

Here in Greenwich, I’m especially grateful to everyone whose work has helped bring the Cardinal Stadium renovation and the new Central Middle School project to life. From construction crews and skilled tradespeople to architects, engineers, town and school staff, and volunteer committee members, thank you.

Having helped move these projects forward, I know how much teamwork goes into them. Every classroom, every beam, and every seat in the stands reflects someone’s hard work and an investment in generations of Greenwich students and families.

To everyone working this holiday, a special thank you. Wishing you and your families a safe and restful Labor Day!

Connecticut needs to aim higher.

We need leaders who understand what it takes to run a business, create jobs, balance a budget, and get things done.

I’ve spent my career solving problems, making tough decisions, and being accountable for the results. I’m ready to bring that same common-sense approach to Hartford.
