🏁 Road America Kart Club 🏁
🏁 Weekend Series: Race 4 🏁

If you like rivalries, Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America delivered one of the best of the season.

Six races. Two drivers. Three wins each. Talk about doing the splits.

Evan Liesch and his longtime rival/friend traded blows all afternoon across two completely different classes, with neither driver giving an inch. When the dust settled, the scorecard was perfectly even:

🏆 Evan: 2 Heat Race wins + 1 Feature win
🏆 Liam: 2 Heat Race wins + 1 Feature win

In Briggs 206 Sportsman, the battle was relentless from the opening green flag. Evan struck first by winning Heat 1 by just 0.113 seconds, but Heat 2 went the other way. The Feature was everything fans could ask for—a ten-lap sprint that came down to the final inches, with Evan finishing just 0.010 seconds behind after an all-out fight to the checkered flag.

Then came Mini Swift, and Evan flipped the script.

After finishing runner-up in Heat 1 and charging from the back in Heat 2, he saved his best for last. Evan took control in the Feature, laying down some of the fastest laps of the race and driving away to score the victory by nearly six seconds, turning what started as another heavyweight showdown into a dominant finish.

The numbers tell the story:

* 🥇 6 total races
* 🥇 3 wins for Evan
* 🥇 3 wins for Liam
* ⚡ A 0.113-second Heat Race victory.
* ⚡ A 0.010-second Feature finish.
* 💨 A commanding Mini Swift Feature win to close the day.

Some race days are about sweeping the field.

This one was about proving that one of karting’s best rivalries just keeps getting better.

We had six races at Road America today. The fans got a show. And everyone left knowing the next chapter can’t come soon enough. 🏁

As always, huge Thank You to our sponsors!!!

🏁 Road America Kart Club 🏁
🏁 Tuesday Night Race Recap 🏁

Evan Liesch put together a flawless night at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America, qualifying P1 before sweeping both heat races and the feature in the Briggs 206 Sportsman class.

Heat 1 was a close fight from start to finish, with Evan holding off the pressure to take the checkered flag by just a few tenths of a second.

Heat 2 turned into the race of the night. After surrendering the lead late, Evan refused to settle. He pulled alongside Liam coming out of the final corner on the last lap, setting up a thrilling drag race to the finish line. At the stripe, he claimed the victory by an incredibly close 0.049 seconds.

Starting on pole for the feature, Evan left no doubt.

He led all 10 laps, controlled the pace from the drop of the green flag, and steadily pulled away to earn the victory by 1.353 seconds, completing a clean sweep of the evening.

Results:
🥇 Qualifying – P1
🥇 Heat 1 – P1
🥇 Heat 2 – P1 (Won by 0.049 seconds)
🥇 Feature – P1 (Led all 10 laps, won by 1.353 seconds)

Three races. Three wins. One perfect Tuesday night at Road America

We certainly couldn’t do this without the partnerships we have with our sponsors, thank you all so much!!!

Race Recap | Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

It was an absolute scorcher Tuesday night at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex, making every lap a test of focus, tire management, and endurance.

Evan Liesch had the speed all night:

* 🥈 Heat 1 (Fastest Lap: 36.304)
* 🥇 Heat 2 (Fastest Lap: 36.377)
* 🥈 Feature (Fastest Lap: 36.214)

In the feature, Evan led most of the race before being challenged in the closing laps, ultimately finishing just 0.118 seconds behind the winner.

Three races. Three fastest laps.

A good reminder that in racing, the fastest kart doesn’t always win. Sometimes it’s not about outright speed—it’s about being in the right place at the right time when the checkered flag falls. We’ll take the speed every time. 🏁

Much love to our sponsors as always!

WHAT. A. WEEKEND. 🤯🏁⚾🎤

Three days. Three completely different adventures. One unforgettable weekend.

Thursday night we were singing along with Ed Sheeran at Summerfest

Friday night we watched the Brewers take it to the Cubs at Miller Park - Go Brewers! and Evan caught a ball!

Then today… it was time to get back to business.

Evan completed a CLEAN SWEEP at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America, winning BOTH the Sportsman and MiniSwift classes! 🏆🏆

In Sportsman, he was simply untouchable, winning both heat races and the feature while laying down the fastest lap in every single race. That’s about as complete of a performance as you can have.

In MiniSwift, he matched that dominance with another clean sweep, taking home victories in both heats and the feature to cap off a perfect night.

Weekends like this are about so much more than trophies. They’re about making memories as a family, cheering on the Brewers, singing until your voice is gone, and then watching your kid do what he loves on the racetrack.

Beyond proud of Evan!!! Not just for the results, but for the focus, preparation, and sportsmanship he continues to show every time he puts on the helmet.

Now… somebody tell this kid it’s okay to have an average weekend once in a while 😄🏁💪

Time for a few hours of sleep before heading to New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana to cheer on Evan’s team-mates and friends competing in the United States Pro Kart Series race

Much love to our sponsors as always!

🏁 Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America: Tuesday Night Recap 🏁

The results don’t always tell the whole story.

We spent practice chasing a performance issue that was eventually traced to a small fuel leak from our filter. Unfortunately, we didn’t find it until after qualifying, where Evan could only manage P3 with the kart feeling off. Kudos to him for helping identify the issue when at full throttle!

Once the problem was fixed, Evan showed his true pace.

🥇 Heat 1 Winner
🥇 Heat 2 Winner
🥇 Feature Winner

A clean sweep of the night and a much-needed confidence boost for a young driver who has continued to work hard through the ups and downs of racing.

Sometimes all it takes is getting the kart right to remind everyone what they’re capable of.

Help us show our sponsors come love anyway you can

🏁 Tuesday Night Race Recap from the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

Mother Nature threw everything she had at us tonight.

As we loaded up for the club race, we weren’t even sure we’d get on track. We arrived to a downpour, then hail, then even more rain. The radar looked ugly, but eventually the winds did us a favor and pushed the storms through. That’s when the track officials went to work drying the circuit, the sun even came out to help, and Dad went to work making major setup changes to the kart.

What followed was one of the greenest tracks we’ve raced on in a long time. After spending the weekend on softer compound tires with plenty of grip, switching back to the brick-like MG Oranges on a washed-out track made finding traction a challenge all night long.

The stopwatch wasn’t exactly our friend early on, but neither of us stopped learning. Every session brought another adjustment, another lesson, and a better understanding of what the kart wanted.

When the checkered flags flew, Evan brought home P3 in both heat races and charged to P2 in the feature with the highlight of our night being that he ran the 3 fastest laps and the fastest average time in the final

No trophies for perfect conditions tonight. Instead, we earned something just as valuable: experience. The knowledge gained about chassis setup, tire behavior, and changing track conditions will pay dividends long after tonight’s race is forgotten.

Sometimes the biggest wins don’t come from the top step of the podium

We’ll take the hardware, the notebook full of lessons, and get ready for the next one.

Please show our partners some love!!!

REDEMPTION COMPLETE! 🏁🏆

Not quite two years ago, Evan’s first taste of regional karting came with Cup Karts North America. It was a humbling experience and one that left plenty of unfinished business.
This weekend at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America, that story came full circle.

Competing in the Cup Karts North America Double Header, Evan returned to the series where his regional racing journey began.

On Saturday, he delivered the performance he had been chasing for two years, qualifying pole position, racing up front, and standing on the top step of the podium. Redemption day had finally arrived.

But the weekend wasn’t finished

After celebrating the CKNA victory, the team packed up and headed to Mill-Rite Raceway for the Badger Kart Club’s Sunday racing action. Pulling double duty in both Sportsman and MiniSwift, Evan faced an entirely different challenge. New track conditions, different tire compounds, changing kart setups, and a quick turnaround between events can test even the most experienced drivers.

Evan answered the challenge by racing at the front all day long, bringing home a pair of P2 finishes in Sportsman and MiniSwift.
Winning on Saturday. Fighting for victories in two classes on Sunday.

Different tracks. Different tires. Different setups. Same result: racing at the front.
A weekend that started with redemption ended with another reminder that Evan can compete for the lead no matter the challenge.

🏁 Route 66 Sprint Series Round 2 at
Norway Motorsports Park Recap 🏁

If there was ever a weekend that captured why we love this sport, this might’ve been the one

The Route 66 Series rolled into Norway Motorsports Park this weekend, and Evan was once again pulling double duty in both the Sportsman (4-stroke) and Mini Swift (2-stroke) classes.

🏆 SPORTSMAN: FIRST REGIONAL VICTORY

The Sportsman class exceeded our expectations from the very beginning.

Friday's changing weather conditions kept everyone guessing, and we even forced Evan to turn laps in the rain on slick tires. Let's just say that session was a little humbling; but those are often the moments where the biggest lessons are learned.

Qualifying didn't quite go to plan. We left some speed on the table and ended up P4, but once the racing started, Evan came alive.

Over the next two 14-lap heat races, he charged to the front and captured back-to-back heat race victories, earning pole position for Sunday's 18-lap final.

What followed was an absolute heavyweight fight.

For all 18 laps, Evan had the 244 kart of Liam Fohr glued to his rear bumper. Every corner mattered. Every lap mattered. Evan never blinked.

Then, with just two laps remaining, Liam made his move.

He was able to complete the pass and briefly took over the lead, setting up a dramatic finish. But Evan answered immediately, reclaiming the top spot and refusing to let it go. The two young drivers raced nose-to-tail through some lapped traffic and to the checkered flag in one of the best battles of the weekend.

After nearly twenty laps of relentless pressure, Evan crossed the finish line just 0.180 seconds ahead of Liam, securing his first-ever regional Route 66 Series victory.

A huge milestone and one we'll never forget.

🥈 Liam Fohr

🚀 MINI SWIFT: A COMEBACK FROM AN UPSIDE DOWN RACE

Over in Mini Swift, local standout Michael Tsyupka reminded everyone what thousands of laps at Norway Motorsports Park can do.

Keeping pace with him all weekend was a challenge.

Evan finished P2 in Heat 1 and P3 in Heat 2 behind Tsyupka and Franklin Motorsports teammate Darius Zaremba, lining us up P3 for the final.

Then came the moment that stopped all of our hearts.

On Lap 7, while attempting a pass, Evan became involved in a racing incident that sent his kart upside down.

As a dad, your mind immediately goes to the worst place.

I took off running toward the accident scene.

Before I could even get there, Evan had already crawled out from underneath the kart and was standing beside it giving everyone a thumbs up.

Then came the most Evan response imaginable.

He pulled off his helmet and asked:

"Is my helmet okay?"

It was.

Then he asked:

"Is my kart okay?"

With the help of a race official, we flipped it back over and looked everything over. Nothing appeared seriously damaged.

That's when Evan looked at us and said:

"Let me go race!"

After the official completed a more thorough inspection of both driver and kart, race control gave him permission to continue.

Forced to restart from the back of the field, Evan put on a determined drive slicing his way through the field and somehow fighting all the way back to P2 by the checkered flag.

WHY WE KEEP RACING

This weekend wasn't just about trophies.

It was about perseverance.

It was about overcoming adversity.

It was about learning, fighting through setbacks, and refusing to quit.

A first regional victory in Sportsman.

A rollover and comeback drive to second in Mini Swift.

To say we're proud would be an understatement.

This is why we keep racing

We always want to express our love for our sponsors, family, and friends for their continued support 👊🏁
