Chandler McBride’s accident was two years ago, he had suffered a severed spinal cord in a pool diving accident. After being told he would never breathe or eat on his own, he has since completed High School and
his first year at Grand Valley State University. It has been two years since his accident and he certainly is an inspiration to everyone he meets. Chandler is in need of a reliable van to transport him to and from doctors’ appointments, physical therapy sessions, as well as to and from college. His current van may not make it another month let alone another year. As you can imagine being in a 600 pound wheelchair has its limitation when traveling. The van the family was able to get for him has 230,000 miles on it and has a long list of problems. The biggest problem is the mileage and is not reliable. If it was to breakdown, he would be stranded and could not hop in any vehicle, this could be very dangerous. Chandler’s mother also has MS, and he has a 11 year old sister. The family is very strong and their strength comes from an amazing bond and the following words to help them through these past two years: Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go
Tickets are $10 each or 11 for $100
