HOW MANY LESSONS IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?!?!?!?
Talk about a loaded question. The answer to that depends on your kid and your expectations for swim.
So let’s talk about it.
What’s your goal? Where are they at currently? Are you doing once a week or more frequently?
Our swim lessons are ✨individualized✨. As in, tailored to the student. So it’s really all about them and they will help us figure out how many.

Hot topic around here: to goggle or not to goggle. The answer might surprise you.
Normally we say no to goggles in our pool during lesson. We want them to be comfortable with being uncomfortable in the water. We are ✨survival swim✨ and so we want to make sure your kid is ready to go no matter where they are or what they were. And reality check: your kids probably won’t have goggles on if they fall in.
However! Lots of kids hate goggles. We do eventually work on wearing them appropriately in the pool. Later. Once they’re working on strokes.
So. Goggles have their time and place. Just probably not at swim lessons.
So are you team goggles or eyeballs in your home pool?

New challenge!
We often recommend a plain clothes test for our kids who are flipping and floating. We thought it would be fun to make it a challenge for September!
Bring your student to swim in their first day of school outfit, favorite summer outfit, church outfit—anything you’d like! They can have shoes, socks, un**es, shirt, pants, jacket, hats… really anything you want them to test their swim skills out with.
We pride ourselves in prioritizing swim safety over everything and we want you and your kid to know that they’re swim ready no matter what they wear or where they are.
So tell us. What outfit would you choose?

July 25 is World Drowning Prevention Day. Being a swim school that serves local families drowning prevention is always on our mind. We personally know many families that have been directly affected by drowning. We hear and see stories every day of kids, teens, even adults who have drowned. We hear stories from parents of how they nearly drowned as kids and the fear of water has followed and affected them their entire lives. How they want their kids to be prepared in ways they were not. We hear about kids who have been found on the bottom. Or we hear about a scary moment where the parent looked out and couldn’t see their kid playing in the water. We believe water safety is so important. That there are so many layers to water safety. Pool fences. Barriers. Swim lessons. Family safety plans and training. Drowning is a reality in our world. Especially here in Arizona where pools are a standard in most neighborhoods. Protect your families. Have the hard conversation with your family. Talk about water watchers. Make a plan. Make sure your kids are involved in the conversation. Make drowning prevention a priority in your house.

✨ be a fish in a sea of floaties ✨ One of our clients repping Fish and Kicks at the city pool. Our lessons are life saving skills — but gosh it can also be so much fun. That feeling of confidence when they glide off a water slide and swim independently to the wall. 3 and doing jumps off the diving board. Swimming all summer at grandmas’ and grandpas’ pool. Asking for swim team, water polo, surf camp — everything started with childhood swim lessons. ❤️
