Letting go of what was holding me back ā¬ļø
Iāve been a strength coach for over 10 years, and when I went independent 5 years ago, I thought I had to live the picture perfect fitness lifestyle.
Today, Iām able to travel multiple weeks in a row, have a damn good time and come back with not an ounce of guilt or stress.
šø I stopped trying to have perfect nutrition
I used to meal prep, pack a cooler, and bring all the powders Iād ever need in my suitcase. If I was still competing, id do it again, but in this season of lifeā¦high protein and keeping fried/sugary foods to a minimum is all I need!
šø I stopped needing a fancy gym to get a workout in
Now do I still love checking out a new gym, 100%. But with $40+ a day pass at most places, I d rather spend that money on š² or šø out in a new city!
šø I stopped feeling guilty for staging out late
This wellness trend is bs. In bed by 8pm, wake up and have the perfect morning routine? F that. Letās go get some drinks, meet amazing people, and have stories to tell! Of course Iām not gonna do that EVERY weekend, but when traveling why deprive myself of the one thing I wanted to go and do most!
Now that Iām home, Iām thankful for the memories, and feel RECHARGED to get back to supporting our community! š
