🍂 Fall is upon us and the Ober Color Meter is BACK! 🌡️

🍁🍂 Follow along with us as we track the incoming fall colors across the mountain with the Ober Color Meter. Some trees are just starting to show some colors, and we will be providing updates as more autumn colors start to show.

🍻 Oktoberfest is back and starts this Friday, September 25. Dust off your lederhosen and raise your steins for the traditional festival with live music, entertaining guest challenges, and traditional food and beer from Yee-Haw Brewing Company. We are weeks away from vibrant colors across the mountain! Get ready for Oktoberfest, coaster rides, zipline tours, and adventure surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall.

OKTOBERFEST starts this Friday, September 25-28 and will be offered daily in October. Ober will transform into a Bavarian-style festival grounds, complete with blue-and-white checkered décor, mums, fall leaves, oversized steins, and festive photo-ops. Enjoy live bands on the outdoor sound stage and stein-holding competitions for those eager to test their strength Bavarian-style. Relax in the mountaintop biergarten and sip on five different German beers from Yee-Haw Brewing Co. , paired with authentic favorites such as chicken schnitzel, sausages, turkey legs, giant pretzels, and plenty of sweet treats including apple strudel, pumpkin fudge and more.

Ober Gatlinburg is participating in Gatlinburg's annual burger cookoff event, GatlinBURGER week. Visit Ober September 11-18, 2026, to taste this burger masterpiece created by the Ober chef specially for this event.

Conquer your hunger with this mountain-sized masterpiece. A smashed beef patty piled high with smoked shaved prime rib, smoked Gouda, caramelized onions, crisp baby arugula, and creamy garlic pepper aioli on a buttery brioche bun.

An extra day to enjoy the mountain is coming this week! Join us on Wednesday, September 2, for a BONUS DAY on the mountain!

Ober has been closed Tue-Wed this summer, but this week we will be offering a bonus day for Wednesday, with the whole mountain open for full operations! Catch a ride on the Gatlinburg Tram, ride the Smoky Mountain Bobsled, fly down the mountain on the Tennessee Flyer Mountain Coaster, or soar above the mountains on the Cloud Catcher Zipline! All this fun and more at Ober Gatlinburg!

We lost a treasure today. Dolly’s kindness, generosity, music, and love touched the lives of so many here in the Smokies and around the world. Her influence is one that will never be forgotten, and her spirit will forever be ingrained in these mountains she called home.

⛰️🚗 The first ever Ober the Top Off-Road event brought hundreds of off-road vehicles to the mountain, including Jeeps, Broncos, Raptors, an FJ Cruiser, Subarus, and more!

We saw some amazing rigs with various modifications hit the trails, obstacles, and mud. After such a hit, we plan to bring this event back even bigger and better next year! We'd like to thank everyone who visited Ober this weekend and tackled these moderate trails to the top of the ski slopes here at Ober.

Ober Off-Road is this week!

Register now for this first-of-its-kind event at Ober Gatlinburg. Bring your rig off-road and test your skills across various obstacles, ascent the mountain with a 562 foot climb and a top elevation of 3,208 feet.
