We’re Paige and Daniel — two people who left behind the 9–5 life (and just about everything else) to chase freedom at sea.

We left the 9–5 in March 2023 to chase freedom at sea — and found the beauty, the breakdowns, and the Pretty Damn Good moments along the way.
🎥 New videos every Friday on YouTube! Since March 2023, we’ve been living full-time aboard our Seawind 1160 catamaran, documenting the highs, lows, and Pretty Damn Good moments of life on the water. Our channel, PDG Adventures, isn’t just about sailing. It’

A few weeks ago, Winston had a bit of a mishap and fell through the hatch, injuring one of his toes. It looked scary in the moment, but we’re happy to report he’s healing really well.

These days he’s back to soaking up the sunshine, keeping watch from the deck, and generally loving life like nothing ever happened. Big dog, big heart, big resilience.

Thank you to everyone who checked in on him — it truly meant a lot.
And to our Patrons, thank you for being there for all the real-time ups and downs. You get these moments as they happen, and that support means more than we can say. 💙

We hit 5,000 subscribers… and honestly, that feels kind of unreal.

What started as a big leap into the unknown has turned into a shared journey—with people who cheer us on, call us out when we mess up, and stick around for both the calm and the chaos.

If you’ve been here from the beginning, found us somewhere along the way, or just subscribed recently: thank you. You’re the reason we keep filming the hard days, the dumb mistakes, and the moments that make it all worth it.
And if you’re new here or have been watching quietly from the sidelines—this is your sign.
Come be part of the adventure. The wins feel better when they’re shared… and the failures are way more entertaining. 😅⚓️
Here’s to the next chapter.

Can you spot what we did wrong?
Do you enjoy watching people screw something up?
Cool. You’re probably gonna like our videos! 😅

This was one of those projects that should have been simple… and absolutely was not. Multiple parts. Multiple mechanics. Multiple moments of “wait… why did we do that?”

If you’ve ever worked on an outboard, owned a boat, or just enjoy a good mechanical spiral, this episode is for you.
Lessons were learned. Money was spent. Pride took a small hit.

Well… that escalated.
What should’ve been a simple fix turned into one of those lessons you don’t plan for but get anyway. A reminder that life aboard doesn’t always move on your timeline — and sometimes the only option is to slow down, troubleshoot, and keep showing up until something finally clicks.
This isn’t a how-to or a highlight reel. It’s the honest reality of dealing with boat problems when you’re anchored, stuck waiting, and questioning your choices just a little bit.

If you’ve ever stared at a problem thinking “really?” — this one’s for you.

Some days at sea are all sunsets and smooth sailing.
And some days… are this.

What started as a “small problem” turned into a full stop on our plans, a lot of head-scratching, and more than a few really? moments. The kind where you’re sure the fix is obvious… until it isn’t.
We’ll be sharing the full story later today — not a how-to, not a highlight reel, but the honest, messy reality of dealing with boat problems when you’re just trying to keep moving.
If you’ve ever had a plan derailed by something that should’ve been simple… this one will feel familiar.
🎥 Video dropping later today.

We finally closed the book on the boatyard… and then came the bill.

This photo is Daniel holding the entire invoice... every haul, hour, part, and “while we’re in there…” moment rolled into one very real number. 😬 It’s not something we gloss over, and it’s definitely not something you see shared very often.

For our Patreon crew, we’re sharing the actual dollar amount as bonus material; because you’re part of this journey, not just watching it.
If you’ve ever wondered what a season in the boatyard really costs, this one might surprise you.

Last season taught us a hard lesson the expensive way: we lost an anchor because we didn’t seize the shackle. 😬

This time, no shortcuts. Daniel’s installing our new 55 lb Mantus anchor, and the most important step isn’t the shiny steel; it’s the quiet, unglamorous detail you don’t skip: seizing wire on the shackle. That tiny step is what keeps a great anchor from becoming an artificial reef.

We’ve been really impressed with the design and holding power from Mantus Marine , and after what we’ve learned, doing it right matters just as much as buying the right gear.

If you’re curious about the anchor we chose (or want to avoid learning this lesson the hard way like we did), we’ve got our Mantus affiliate link here 👉 https://www.mantusmarine.com/?affiliates=180
Details matter. Boats don’t forgive shortcuts.

This one’s been a long time coming.
After 6 weeks in the boatyard, a stack of projects, and more than a little side-eye at the checklist, it all comes down to the final push before splash day.

If you’ve ever held your breath waiting to see how something turns out… you’ll get this one.

Final projects on the list. A calendar full of crossed-off days. A few laughs, a few nerves, and that familiar feeling of being right on the edge of change.

Video drops tomorrow — and it closes a chapter we’ve been living in for a long time.
See you then.
