“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you’re right.”
Henry Ford

The thoughts we choose to focus on shape what we notice, how we respond, and whether we see struggles, failures, or obstacles as dead ends or opportunities to grow.

Positivity isn’t pretending everything is good. It’s believing that something good can still come from it.

Marriage usually doesn’t fall apart in one big moment. More often, it’s the small habits the distractions, resentment, lack of connection, avoiding hard conversations, and simply forgetting to keep choosing each other 💕

In this week’s episode, I’m talking with Lindsey Maestas Lindsey Maestas | Author about the habits that can slowly create distance in a marriage and the simple, intentional choices that can help bring you back together 💪🏼

Pulling off a surprise party for my nephew turning 1️⃣6️⃣ (!!!) with a house fuuuuull of family is the best!!! Seeing my new sis-in-love’s engagement ring 🥹, meeting my new puppy nephew, smothering my wittle chunky niece and getting her to smile for pics, and having my 8 year old nap on me…. All on the same weekend 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I’m a sucker for productivity hacks and this one from Jon Acuff | Mindset + Goals Author | Speaker has truly changed my life.

Juggling a business and a household is… well, a lot of work.

After missing too many early bird discounts, camp sign up dates, birthday parties and baby showers, or getting frustrated at the last minute work meeting, trip, or event, I got encouraged by Jon Acuff | Mindset + Goals Author | Speaker to get one of these large calendars to organize my life.

The ROI on this $40 annual investment has been tremendous!!!

By having it on my wall, it takes me 2 seconds to know if I should say yes or no to an invite. I know when my kids’ bday parties will be way in advance. I can plan for tournaments, games, and appointments.

I can also quickly glance and see how many more interview slots I have available for the Parenting IQ Podcast | Family Rhythms, ADHD & Parenting — which, is so humbling to share we filled our last available spot last week and already have 3 interviews on the 2027 calendar.

As an ADHDer, this one thing on my wall takes the cognitive load of decisions off of my brain so I can actually focus on deep work.

Josh and I have a meeting every November to plan out important personal and professional dates— helping us be more creative, connected, and organized in our actions.

Although we have plenty of room for improvements, this calendar has helped us plan our lives with intentionality!

If you want the link to this one, comment CALENDAR 🗓️ to support this small business owner I’ve never met and have no affiliation with.

Some people thoughts I wanted to share in a world full of “experts.”

In this tech, info, and AI driven world, people can easily click a button and create something out of random commands.

Stay vigilant! Be choosy! And don’t take advice from people who haven’t reach the destination they teach others to reach.

My ŌURA kept telling me that my stress levels were really high day after day. I honestly didn’t even notice! Because moms are like that— we go super hard… but then we also crash super hard and everyone gets yelled at.

I decided I needed to figure out what in the world was happening to spike my stress so much, so I did two things: 1. I started to listen to my body and 2. Began to research about leading stress factors for women.

The most helpful science-backed stress management tool I’ve found is: to have realistic expectations for myself.

I’ve learned that just because I can do a lot doesn’t mean my body can sustainably carry everything I’m tempted to put on my calendar.

First, I have to get clear on everything that would impact my productivity, emotional state, and time:

• What do my kids need from me today?
• What’s on my husband’s calendar?
• What deadlines are approaching?
• When do I start my period?
• How well did I sleep last night?
• How much protein have I had lately?

And THEN I decide what to tackle.

One of the biggest contributors to stress is the gap between what life is demanding and what we believe we should be able to handle.

And studies on recovery experiences show that even short periods of psychological detachment from responsibilities (not thinking about tasks, work, or obligations) help restore cognitive resources and reduce burnout risk.

Watering my plants right after I close my computer at 5pm has become the best transition rhythm I established in 2026 to detach from the unfinished work-related tasks to rest time with my family.

No matter what your psychological detachment activity of choice is, just make sure you prioritize it daily to give your body a chance to recover, realign, and recharge!

After all, you are the heartbeat of your home 🤍
