What a way to finish!

I’m beyond proud of this group of girls and everything they accomplished together. We closed out the season as BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPIONS 🏆🏆 and went 5-0, staying undefeated in the Midnight Madness Tournament!

From 1:30 AM to 8:30 AM, these girls battled through the night with heart, grit, and determination. They never quit, never made excuses, and showed exactly what StickFire softball is all about.

To the girls moving on, thank you for the memories and everything you poured into this team. You’ll always be part of the StickFire family. ❤️

To our returning players and the new girls joining the squad… welcome! We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to get to work together.

Now it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved few weeks off, recharge, and then it’s back to the grind. The work never stops, and the next chapter starts soon.

🩵🤍🥎 Sometimes the hardest part of coaching isn’t the losses… it’s saying goodbye. 🥎🩵🤍

I’ve stared at this post for a while because I honestly don’t know if there are enough words to describe what this team has meant to me.

This isn’t a goodbye because of coaching. It isn’t because of disagreements or anyone wanting to be somewhere else. This goodbye comes because life keeps moving, birthdays happen, and some of our girls have simply outgrown 14U. As much as I wish I could keep this group together forever, that’s just not how this game works.

What started as a group of softball players became a family.

We laughed until our stomachs hurt. We celebrated every little victory. We picked each other up after heartbreaking losses. We spent countless hours at the ballpark, in hotel parking lots, on long road trips, and under those hot summer skies chasing a dream together. Somewhere along the way, these girls became more than athletes—they became a part of our lives.

We watched confidence grow. We watched friendships form. We watched girls become leaders. We watched them believe in themselves when they didn’t think they could.

And somehow… in what would become our final tournament together, they gave us one last memory we’ll never forget.

There couldn’t have been a more fitting ending. They played with heart. They played for each other. They fought for every out, every run, and every inning. They reminded everyone exactly who StickFire was.

The scoreboard will eventually be forgotten. The trophies will collect dust. The uniforms will get packed away.

But I’ll never forget the hugs after big wins. The tears after tough losses. The loud dugout chants. The dancing between innings. The nervous smiles before first pitch. The parents who became family. The moments that no one else saw but meant everything.

To every player who wore “StickFire” across your chest… thank you.

Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for believing in each other.
Thank you for giving us memories we’ll carry for the rest of our lives.

As your coaches, we were supposed to teach you about softball. The truth is, you taught us just as much about resilience, loyalty, perseverance, and what it means to love a team with your whole heart.

Watching a few of you leave isn’t easy. In fact, it’s one of the hardest parts of coaching. But if we’ve done our job, we’ve helped prepare you for whatever comes next. And while this chapter closes, we’ll be your biggest fans wherever this game takes you.

So this isn’t really goodbye.

It’s “thank you.”

Thank you for every memory.
Thank you for every laugh.
Thank you for every challenge.
Thank you for every moment.

14U StickFire with this group has come to an end… but this family never will. To the future 14u girls and the girls staying 14u continue being great!

Once you wear our name, you’ll always have a place in our hearts.

12U StickFire – Trusting the Process 🥎💙
This 12U StickFire team has shown so much growth this season, and we couldn’t be more proud of these girls.
The scoreboard doesn’t always tell the full story, but the work, dedication, and countless reps they’ve put in absolutely do. Their confidence is growing, their softball IQ is improving every week, and they’re starting to believe in themselves. That’s what real development looks like.
The last two tournaments, these girls went 2-0 in pool play and earned the #2 seed heading into bracket play both weekends. That’s not luck—that’s progress. While we haven’t made the deep bracket run we’re chasing yet, we’ve consistently put ourselves in the top bracket, and that’s a huge step forward.
Now it’s about learning to push through adversity, battling the Texas heat, staying mentally locked in after long breaks between games, and finding that extra gear when we’re tired. Champions aren’t built when things are easy—they’re built by continuing to fight when it’s hard.
We have one more tournament left before taking a short break, then it’s time to get right back to work. This team is exactly where they need to be, and the future is incredibly bright.
The foundation has been built. The culture is growing. The best is still ahead.

This weekend these girls took a chance and jumped into a high school-level tournament, knowing we’d be facing older, more experienced competition. We even faced a pitcher who is already playing college softball (how that happened… who knows 😂), but that’s the risk you take in a tourney like this .

Did we get the outcome we wanted? No.

But what DID happen was something to be proud of.

🥎 These girls competed.
🥎 They never backed down.
🥎 They earned a 4th-place finish out of 18 teams. And stayed in the top bracket all weekend.

As coaches, that’s exactly what we ask for—compete, trust yourselves, and grow.

A few special shoutouts:

🤍 #44 Capri (Class of 2031)
This kid is heading into 8th grade and is already doing BIG things. She is the hitter you want walking to the plate in any situation. She absolutely crushes the ball, moves runners, and continues to get better every weekend. Her growth this season as both a player and a leader has been incredible. Her future is SO bright, and trust me… she’s already turning heads. 👀

🤍 #05 Paisley (Class of 2030)
Paisley came to us this spring as a catcher/second baseman. When we told her we wanted to move her to the outfield, she said, “Don’t put me out there—you’ll regret it. I can’t catch a fly ball!” 😂

Little did she know, her coaches saw something in her before she saw it in herself.

She has been an absolute sponge, soaking up every bit of instruction and trusting the process. This weekend she made huge plays, executed situational hitting exactly how we practice it, and showed just how much she’s grown. We couldn’t be more proud of her.

🤍 #11 Trinity (Class of 2029)
Trinity is one of those players every coach loves. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t seek attention. She just shows up, works, and does her job.
She’s played second base and the outfield for us, but we wanted to challenge her by moving her to third base. After only TWO practices there, we started her at third in Game 1.
After the game she simply said, “Thank you for believing in me.”

Now we just need her to believe in herself as much as we do.

🤍 #10 KK (Class of 2031)
One of our youngest players, but you’d never know it by the way she competes.
She stepped into the outfield against older girls and never flinched. Her words said it all:

“I don’t care if they’re older than me… I know ball.”

YES YOU DO, kiddo! 💪
She had a great weekend both at the plate and in the field and continues to prove that heart has no age.

And while these girls earned special shoutouts, every player contributed this weekend, just a few more key roles …

🩵 #8 Veh is the teammate every coach needs. She’s always making sure equipment is set up and put away, checking on teammates, making sure everyone has what they need, and leading by example. Those little things don’t go unnoticed.

🩵 #26 Brooke battled through a back injury she suffered at practice, but instead of feeling sorry for herself, she became one of the best teammates in the dugout. She cheered every inning, grabbed helmets and bats, helped organize equipment, and supported every single girl on this team. That’s what being a teammate is all about.

🩵 #19 Maddie is slowly finding her way back to the pitching circle and, more importantly, finding her confidence again. It takes courage to step back into that circle, and she did it without hesitation. No complaints. No excuses. Just a simple, “Thank you, Coach.” We are incredibly proud of her.

This weekend wasn’t just about wins and losses.

It was about growth.
It was about believing in each other.
It was about competing against players who were older, stronger, and more experienced—and proving we belong.

The future is bright for this group, and we’re just getting started.

🥎🩵That’s a wrap on our Colorado week! 🩵🥎
No, we’re not coming home with a trophy… but we’re coming home with something just as valuable—experience, growth, and a whole lot of lessons that will make us better.
This weekend challenged us in every way. The girls had to battle the altitude, adjust to the weather, play early 8:00 a.m. games, and compete over multiple days against some very talented teams.
We traveled with just 11 players, and every single one of them stepped up.
Girls played positions they don’t normally play. They were asked to do whatever the team needed, and they answered the call. They trusted each other, encouraged one another, and never stopped competing.
Were there mistakes? Absolutely.�Did we face adversity? Every day.�But the biggest difference is that we’re learning from those moments and continuing to improve the little things that will eventually become the big things.
🥎 51 runs scored in 6 games.�🥎 7 home runs on the weekend.�That’s something to be proud of, and it’s proof that our offense continues to grow.
Most importantly, we leave Colorado with stronger chemistry, unforgettable memories, and confidence that we’re headed in the right direction. Champions aren’t built overnight—they’re built through weekends like this.
To our players: Thank you for competing with heart, embracing challenges, and never giving up on each other. I’m incredibly proud of every one of you.
And to our amazing families—thank you. None of this would be possible without your sacrifices, your
support, the miles you travel, and everything you do behind the scenes. Thank you for believing in these girls and making opportunities like this possible.
Colorado gave us exactly what we needed.

If you’ve ever coached Abella, you know one thing is true—she’s one of the most coachable athletes you’ll ever meet.

She embraces instruction, trusts the process, and never lets adversity define her. When things don’t go her way, she doesn’t make excuses… she goes back to work. That’s what separates her.

Over the last several weeks, we’ve been making small adjustments to her approach at the plate. Nothing flashy—just trusting the process, staying disciplined, and putting in the reps.

This weekend, all that hard work paid off.

Not only did she hit her first career home run… she turned around and hit her SECOND! 💣💣

Moments like these don’t happen by accident. They’re built through countless swings, resilience through failure, and the willingness to keep learning every single day.

We couldn’t be more proud of you, Abella. Keep believing, keep working, and keep proving that hard work always finds a way to shine.
