The biggest mistake I made as a leader? Waiting too long. ⏳
I knew someone wasn't right for the role. The numbers, the team, the exit interviews, they all said it. But I told myself I was being patient. I was actually just avoiding the hard conversation.
8 months later, two of my best people had already left. They didn't quit him, they quit the fact that I let it go on.
The cost of waiting on a wrong-fit leader is never paid by the leader. It's paid by everyone around them.
The leaders I admire most aren't the ones who avoid hard conversations — they're the ones who have them now, not later. 💯
What's a leadership lesson that cost you more than you'd like to admit?

The future of fitness isn't fitness. 🏋️➡️🧬
It's longevity, recovery, and metabolic health.
Members aren't chasing a beach body anymore; they're showing up because their sleep is wrecked, their bloodwork is off, or their doctor said, "pre-diabetic."
They don't want a workout. They want longevity.
The operators who get ahead of this will build the gyms of the next decade. 💪

70+ locations in, and I keep seeing the same story play out. ⬇️
Most people think franchise success or failure comes down to how well you run the gym once it's open. It doesn't. The real outcome is usually decided long before the doors do.
Here's where it goes wrong, almost every time:
→ The location gets picked on gut feeling, not numbers. A corner that "feels right" still needs the foot traffic, the demographics, and the competition data to back it up; otherwise, you're hoping, not planning.
→ The opening budget covers opening day, but not the months after. Most new locations bleed cash through their first year and a half. If your runway ends when the ramp-up is just getting started, you're already behind.
→ The projections come from the franchise deck, not from how gyms actually grow in the real world. When month 4 numbers don't match the pitch, marketing budgets get the first cut, which only slows things down further.
None of this is a "fix it after opening" situation. It's a "get it right before you sign" situation.
The operators who do best are often the ones who walked away from a deal that looked good on paper. The ones who didn't usually end up needing help untangling it a year later.
Which of these three hits closest to home for you? Let me know in the comments. 🥂
