Big hair, bigger bosoms, and a whole lot of rhinestones are about to take over Downtown Loveland. Somebody's organizing a "Get Dolly'd Up" bar crawl on September 25, because 9/25 basically spells out "9 to 5" if you squint, and it just so happens to fall on a Friday this year. Think Roper Romp energy, but with wigs, glitter gowns, and a whole lot of Dolly love. What's your go to Dolly Parton song for a night out on the town?

For over four decades, the Human Relations Awards have recognized individuals and organizations that work to advance inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility in our community. These awards and the work that they honor take on greater significance as our community continues to navigate the extraordinary challenges of polarization and social inequity.
The HRC is honored to celebrate the 2025 award recipients and nominees with a reception and public ceremony to be held December 10th at City Hall from 4pm - 5:30pm. Each individual and organization will be recognized by the Mayor, City Councilmembers and other City leaders for their impactful community work. We encourage you to nominate individuals and organizations who have focused their time, resources, and energy in support of underrepresented and underserved residents in Fort Collins and/or Larimer County. We need your help in identifying and acknowledging these extraordinary individuals and organizations effecting positive change!
Information regarding our four nomination categories, the selection process, and nomination forms can be found at https://www.fcgov.com/hra/.
Nominations are due by October 30, 2026. Let’s all work together to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations advancing the goal of making our community safe and welcoming for all.

Registration now open for an in-person Q***r Mysteries workshop I’m teaching on Saturday, September 12th from 7-9pm! Register at Be Free’s website (link in comments below) and check out the promo codes in the description for sliding scale tickets ($13-40).
Q***rness is a force that cannot be snuffed out — it springs forth from even the straightest of families. To the befuddlement of evolutionary biologists looking only for reproductive viability, q***rness sits in a mysterious and bold defiance. And yet, it is often left out of spiritual spaces or at best, added as an afterthought — as a third wheel in some otherwise “complete” heteronormative assumption of divine masculinity and divine femininity. But what if q***rness was just as holy? What if q***rness was a unique and necessary part of a spiritual ecology?
Come explore and embrace the sacred nature of q***rness! In this workshop, we will center q***rness as a Divine Mystery, court it, ask what wisdom it has to offer, and feel for our spiritual role(s) as LGBTQ+ people.
During our time together we will:
~Engage ritual tools such as grounding, circle casting, calling upon q***r allies;
~Trance into the mystery of Q***rness and explore the unique gifts we each have to offer;
~Open our channels of expression through writing, movement and song to let our sacred selves flow through;
~Affirm our inherent holiness as q***r people.
We welcome those who identify as LGBTQ2S+ and those questioning their sexuality or gender identity. If you’re wondering if you’re “q***r” enough, you are welcome here!
