Surgery Update: Two Weeks, Two Days...And We're Seeing Daylight ⛳️💪

Back up and about. Cleaned up, got the haircut, and had our post-surgery follow-up with the doctor a couple days ago.

Real talk on the last two weeks: that first week was brutal. I couldn't dress myself. Couldn't shower on my own. I could get in and out of bed to hit the bathroom and that was about it — couldn't even reach the toilet seat. I leaned on my family and my loved ones hard, and they showed up big. Grateful for them.

Where we're at now:
✅ Getting out of bed pain free
✅ Bending down and picking stuff up off the ground
✅ Sleeping through the night for the most part
✅ Back to something close to normal living

Fingers crossed it keeps trending this way. Five more days and I should be cleared to get in the gym and start PT. My surgeon said week three, day one I should be cleared to start swinging a little. We'll take it easy at first since we've been out so long — but we'll be back on the golf course before long.

Still chasing that sub-par round and shooting scratch more often. Golf content is coming back. ⛳️👇

Anyone who's been through this recovery — what helped you most getting back to swinging? I'm all ears.

1 week post surgery update…

For 4 days I couldn’t shower and had to limit walking to basically bathroom

First 2 days were pretty easy as I was still on meds and sleeping a lot

Days 3-5 were pretty rough I’m not gonna lie! Struggling to sleep, inflammation was causing a lot of pressure on nerves so had some similar pre surgery pain

Today marks day 7 And we are slowly getting there!

Doc now says I can do simple day to day movements as long as pain and symptoms are in check

Sleepy is still the hardest part as I can’t stay asleep for longer than 2-4 hours at a time but the days have been a little easier to move

Hoping week 2 and 3 bring more relief and easier movements…going to start doing some light stretching and movements for rehab as the body allows but can’t lift more than 10 lbs

Week 4 we can start more intensive rehab and working into some lifting

Surgery Update: We Got It Done ✅💪

Went under yesterday and I’m happy to report — surgery went well. Biggest win? That nerve pain shooting down my leg is GONE. Night and day already. Now I’m just praying it stays that way. 🙏

If you followed the lead-up, you know how brutal this one was — worst pain I’ve ever felt, and I’ve been through some stuff. So waking up without that leg pain feels like a small miracle.

Here’s the plan from here:
🛌 Week 1 — laying around, letting it heal
😌 Weeks 2-3 — taking it easy, no pushing it
🏋️⛳ After that — back to rehabbing, lifting, and golfing

I’m not rushing a single step. Do it right once. But make no mistake — I’m coming back for those full swings.

Thank you to everyone who sent good vibes before yesterday. Meant more than you know. We’ll be back on the channel soon. ⛳

👇 To everyone who’s been through this recovery — what got you through week 1? I’m all ears.

Going Under the Knife Tomorrow — and This One's Been the Worst 💪

Tomorrow I'm having L5/S1 back surgery — a large disc herniation that's been pinching my right S1 nerve root and grinding me down for months.

And let me put this in perspective for you. I've taken a 90+ mph baseball to the face 3 times— THREE separate face surgeries from it. I've had a knee rebuilt. I know pain. This L5/S1 nerve pain? By far the worst thing I've ever felt. Nothing else is close.

I tried to avoid the table. Did the epidural shot, did the PT — got maybe 2-3 weeks of reduced pain before it came roaring back. When you've exhausted the conservative route and the nerve's still screaming, it's time to fix it at the source.

Here's the road ahead:
🛌 Week 1 — bed rest, minimal movement
❤️ Weeks 2-3 — keeping the heart rate down, letting it heal
🏋️ After that — rehab, rebuild, and get back after it

Best case I'm swinging a club around 6 weeks. Realistically I'm looking at 10 weeks before I take full cuts again. Not rushing it — do it right once.

The golf channel goes quiet for a bit while I heal, but we'll be back soon. Appreciate every one of you riding with us. ⛳

👇 Anyone been through L5/S1 recovery? Drop your comeback tips below — I'm all ears.

First Swings in Almost 5 months!

Got about 50-75 chips/pitches in from 5-30 yards pain free

Body was getting tired by the end but was good to get back at it

Been in the gym getting the body right but felt good to start a swing progression today

Tomorrow pending body soreness, we will test out some 30-100 yard swings

Day 3 will be full swings going to irons

Day 4 will be testing out the driver

And hopefully be ready for a round this upcoming weekend

Hopefully be back on the course soon!! 💪🏼⛳️

Hopefully this works so we don’t need back surgery!!

L5/S1 slipped disc pinched nerve going on and haven’t been able to pick up a golf club since my last post in February!

Hopefully this and rehab have me golfing here in a 3-4 weeks!

We will get back to posting soon yall! Sorry for the ghosting!

I See a Gap!

Man this takes nerves of steel!

That rough is thick and that gap is tiny

I mostly likely am walking away with an ice pack on a very sensitive area after this one lol

Putting the Rock | Vice Pro Tracer Ball 🔥

The tracer ball really help me understand how my ball is rolling and fix my alignment

I've been playing with grips...reverse, finger down, overlapping, etc....

I always go back to my normal putting stroke because I can find a consistent aim point

If anyone has putting help, send it my way, need to shave like 7 strokes off my putting currently lol
