It was a great morning at the Shylee’s Smiles Foundation 5K & 10K! We are so proud of one of our own, Scout Miles, for receiving 1st place in the 13–19 5K Girls Division! It was an honor to cheer these athletes on! 💗

We asked before kickoff, “Is tonight the night?”

YES. IT. WAS. 👏🏼

The BIG GUYS IN BLUE walked into Haleyville and walked out with a 28–14 VICTORY and this one belongs in the Wilson history books!

📖 TONIGHT’S WARRIOR HISTORY:

🏈 Wilson takes the field as a Class 3A program for the first time since 1983.
🏈 First victory over Haleyville since 2000 — ending a 26-year drought against the Lions.
🏈 Wilson entered tonight just 3–9 all-time against Haleyville.
🏈 First win AT Haleyville since 1999. That means the last time the Warriors left Haleyville with a victory, we were still in the 1900s!
🏈 First season-opening victory since 2021.
🏈 And most importantly…THE 2026 WILSON WARRIORS ARE 1–0! 💪🏼💙

The boys in blue came ready to WORK. They battled for four quarters, took care of business on the road, and will make the trip back to Zip City tonight PROUD, SUCCESSFUL AND VICTORIOUS!

Congratulations to Coach Trey Lane, the entire Wilson football coaching staff, and every one of our BIG GUYS IN BLUE!

A lot of history was waiting to be rewritten tonight.
