LightHeart Gear tents are hiking pole or trekking pole supported backpacking tents utilizing our patented support system. This allows the user to enjoy the full head room height of the tent, keeps the poles out of the way of the entry door, and maximizes space while minimizing weight. Trekking poles are inside the tent to protect them from the elements and night critters that like to chew on them. For those who do not use trekking poles, we have adjustable aluminum tent poles which fold down to only 11 inches. Our tents are generously sized for the number of intended inhabitants – one person will find the Solo tent roomy, two people will find the Duo spacious, and "Six Footers' will find the SoLong 6 an ultralight palace.

DWR works great… until dirt, trail grime, pack straps, and good old-fashioned wear start getting involved. And once that coating wears down? Time to refresh it.

We took a different route. LHG rain jackets use permanently waterproof fabric, no DWR coating required, with oversized pit zips for ventilation when you need it.

Because we’d rather your rain jacket keep the rain on the outside. 😌

LightHeart Gear Rain Jackets are made with permanently waterproof, PFAS-free fabric and intentionally skip the “waterproof breathable” technology. Instead, extra-long pit zips give you ventilation when you actually need it, you can even slip your arms through and wear the jacket almost like a vest.

Tall hikers, this one’s for you. ⛺️

The SoLong 6 was designed with BIG & TALL backpackers in mind, with a full 100" of length and enough room for hikers over 6'8" to actually stretch out comfortably.

And all that space doesn’t mean hauling a heavy tent.
