We are excited to invite residents, families, friends, and community members to join us for the Grand Opening of the Oak Lawn Fieldhouse on Thursday, October 15 at 5:30 PM!
This is an exciting milestone for our community, and we look forward to celebrating this new space with the people who make Oak Lawn such a wonderful place to live, work, and call home.

The Fieldhouse provides exciting opportunities for students to stay active, connect with peers, participate in activities, and build lasting friendships. It offers a welcoming space for recreation, wellness, events, and experiences that bring students together.
During the grand opening celebration, guests will have the opportunity to tour the Fieldhouse, see the new facility firsthand, and learn more about the programs and activities available. Most importantly, it will be a chance for us to celebrate together and officially welcome this exciting new addition to Oak Lawn.

We look forward to opening the doors and sharing this special evening with you. Please join us on Thursday, October 15 at 5:30 PM as we celebrate the grand opening of the Oak Lawn Fieldhouse!

Kupec’s 87 points were second in scoring to Jim Kopatz (112) of Springfield-Lanphier at the ‘71 Tournament. Kupec was joined on the All-Tournament by Kopatz, Quinn Buckner (Thornridge), Charles Evans (Danville),
Tommy Smith (Kewanee) and
Otho Tucker (Paris)

Oak Lawn’s “Run in ‘71” began when the Spartans took down host LaGrange in the Regional Final the first week of March. Many outside the Southwest Suburban Conference still knew little about Oak Lawn before that night. The win over LaGrange, the defending state champion, was the first of several high-profile wins during the journey. The Spartans were on everyone’s radar after the LaGrange game. Four nights later, Oak Lawn would meet Proviso East in the Hinsdale Central Sectional. But that’s another story……
