Thank you for your patience, flexibility, positive attitudes, and sportsmanship as we worked through delays and kept games moving. It was wonderful seeing Ward Field full of players, families, coaches, referees, and volunteers enjoying soccer again. 💚

Good morning, NSA families!

Due to the forecast and rain, WE ARE CANCELING PICTURES FOR TODAY, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12.

We want to make sure your kids are looking their best for their pictures—and soggy isn’t exactly the look we’re going for! 😄📸

📅 Pictures will be rescheduled for this coming week. We are working on the new schedule and will send it out as soon as we have everything figured out.

⚽ As far as today’s games go, we are still watching the radar and will keep you posted. We can play in the rain, but as you know, we do not play in thunder and lightning. ⛈️

We’ll continue monitoring the weather and will send out updates if anything changes.

🎉 IT’S GAME WEEK! 🎉

The season officially kicks off this week! We have a busy and exciting week ahead, so here’s everything you need to know. 💚⚽

QUICK NOTES FOR THE WEEK:

👕 JERSEY PICKUP- COACHES ONLY
Coaches can pick up team jerseys during the dates and times listed. A board member will be available to distribute them. You will also receive your picture packets and times.

🛍️ TEAM SHOP PICKUP
Our Team Shop orders have arrived! If you placed an order, it will be available during the pickup times listed.
📦 Future Team Shop orders will be shipped directly to your home.

🏳️‍⚽ REFEREE TRAINING
All referees—new and returning—must attend ONE training session. Two sessions are available this week.

🍫 CONCESSION STAND UPDATE
We’re excited to have the concession stand open for weeknight games this season!
• Weeknights: Pre-packaged food and drinks only
• Weekends: Full menu, including hot food!

📸 TEAM PICTURES
Coaches have received their team’s picture time and will let families know when and where to meet.
📍 The exact photo location will be determined based on the weather and photographer’s preference.

⚽️🍂NSA Fall Schedules Are Here! + Ward Field Update

Exciting news! Fall schedules are now available! You can find them on our website, www.nsayouthsports.org, under the Team Central tab and in the OTTO Sport app.

A couple of quick notes:
~Minor/Senior schedules are still being finalized. We apologize for the delay.
~Picture schedules will be released to coaches soon. Pictures will be held September 12 and 13.

Ward Field Update
Following the City of Englewood’s Facebook post regarding a positive mosquito test for West Nile virus, we made the proactive decision to temporarily close Ward Field until we could receive guidance from the city. This decision was made with the safety of every player and family member in mind.

We received additional guidance from the city yesterday, and we have been advised that Ward Field does not need to remain closed. Practices can continue as scheduled.

As a precaution, we encourage everyone to:
~Avoid the tree-lined areas and standing water when possible.
~Use bug spray and take other precautions to protect yourself from mosquito bites.
~Be aware of upcoming mosquito fogging. Englewood will post the specific fogging times on its website and page. We have been told these times should not affect our scheduled practices.

🚨WARD FIELD CLOSED🚨

Unfortunately, we have to close Ward Field once again for practices tonight.

Coaches are welcome to find another school or park location if they would still like to hold practice. We will contact the City of Englewood tomorrow for guidance on how we should proceed and what steps we need to take moving forward.

For tonight, however, Ward Field is closed for all NSA practices.

We apologize for the continued inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
