The day may not have ended exactly how we wanted, but what a weekend and what a season for the ladies of Thunder 12U Hays!

The girls battled all weekend and finished 2nd overall in the Dog Days of Summer Tournament, falling to a very strong Blaze team in the championship game.

This team continues to show just how much they have grown throughout the season. From the first tournament to now, their hard work, determination, resilience, and commitment to one another have been incredible to watch.

Every practice, every game, and every challenge has helped shape this team into a group that competes with heart and never backs down.
We couldn't be prouder of these young athletes for the way they support each other and continue to improve every time they step on the field. This runner-up finish is another milestone in what has been an amazing season, and we know they're not done yet!

Thank you to our families, coaches, and supporters for cheering these girls on every step of the way.

Team Thunder - Hays showed tremendous positivity, teamwork, and determination today, going 3-0 in pool play and earning the #1 seed in our bracket heading into Championship Sunday! πŸ₯ŽπŸ†

πŸ“£ Southern Tier Thunder Tryouts 2026 πŸ“£

We all know what time of year it is, and tryouts will be here before we know it!

Southern Tier Thunder will be holding tryouts for the 10U and 12U divisions on:

August 3rd & August 5th
⏰ 6:00–8:00 PM

Tryouts for the 14U and 16U divisions will be held on:

August 4th & August 6th
⏰ 6:00–8:00 PM

Pitchers and catchers:

Please arrive at 5:00 PM on your scheduled tryout day. Pitchers and catchers will have a separate session from 5:00–6:00 PM and will then stay for the regular tryout session from 6:00–8:00 PM.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there! We hope you are all enjoying your season and finishing strong. We know this time of year can bring a lot of excitement and stress, and our goal is to make the tryout process as comfortable, calm, and positive as possible for all athletes and families.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Justin Pack. If you need a private tryout due to a schedule conflict, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
