The dust has barely settled from the 2015 match and we already have a tentative date for next year's match. It looks like it will be July 16, 2016. We are already designing stages and working on the prize table for next year. Enjoy the rest of b the shooting season and we hope to see you all back next summer!

Thank you all for coming to the match today! I think it went very well for our first state level IDPA match. The weather was hot, but the staff did a great job and the shooters had a great time.

Stages are built and walked. Calibrate the steel in the morning and the staff shoots the match! A huge shout out to Billy Weidlein, Joe Stanizs, David O'Keefe, Bob Lindstrom, Jan Poland, Brad Tingley and Scott Arnburg for all the help with setting up the stages! If you're shooting the match this weekend make sure you give these guys a high five!

A big "Thank You!" to those who have registered for the 2015 Iowa State IDPA Championship. Registration is officially closed, however if you would like to volunteer to help with the match please let us know. Equipment check and sign-in will be open at 7:00am on Saturday 7/18/15. SO's and staff will be shooting the scenarios Friday 7/17/15 starting about 9:00am. If you arrive with your carry gun loaded, please proceed to the CCW clearing area out of bay 1 when you arrive at the range. Equipment check and sign-in will happen at the south end of the range outside of the new building. We have >90 shooters coming Saturday and parking is going to be a little tight. Please arrive early on Saturday and follow the match staff direction as to where to park. Staff will park at the south end of the range behind the new building. Please feel free to contact us with further questions.

Ankeny Ikes Practical Shooters will be hosting the 2015 Iowa State IDPA Championship match on July 18, 2015. This is a state level match with 10 stages, 8 scenarios and 2 standards. As the July 18th match grows closer, we are still in need of volunteers the day of the match. Even if you are not IDPA SO certified, you can run the scoring device and help with other match details. We are also in need of a "Mr. Fix it" volunteer to repair props and activators as needed. If you are interest and can help out, please send me your name and shirt size so we can get a staff shirt ordered for you. Also, if you volunteer for the day of the match, you can shoot the match for free on Friday with the staff. Please forward this on to anyone you may know that is interested or might be interested in helping out.
