Kinds chic, don’t you think?

Parents… can we talk about something coaches don’t discuss very often?

One of the hardest parts of competitive cheer isn’t learning a new skill.

It’s watching your child’s former teammate become the person they wave to across the gym, but don’t get to compete with anymore..

And honestly… we know that hurts.

We see it too. 💜

In competitive cheer, every athlete’s journey is different.

Some move up a level.
Some stay at the same level for another season.
Some move to a different team.
Some change divisions.
Some take a different path altogether.

And sometimes… the friends they started this journey with aren’t on the same team anymore.

But here’s something we want our athletes to remember:

Different teams don’t have to mean the end of a friendship. 💜

Your best friend may be across the gym practicing a different stunt.
They may wear a different uniform.
They may compete at a different level.

But they can still cheer for each other.

They can still celebrate each other’s victories.

They can still sit together at competitions.

They can still be friends.

Because competitive cheer is part of their journey… not the definition of their relationships.
