❤️🖤 P.O.P. ECASD DISTRICT-WIDE CHAPTER | 2026–27 KICKOFF! 🖤❤️
Yesterday was a GREAT start to another year of Power of Perception (P.O.P.)! 🙌🏾
We officially welcomed our newest group of mentees for the 2026–27 ECASD District-Wide Chapter, and what a powerful first session it was!
🍝 We kicked things off with a delicious dinner catered by Olive Garden, followed by an overall presentation about P.O.P., our mission, expectations, and what our mentees can look forward to throughout the year.
🤝🏾 We introduced our current and newest P.O.P. mentors and talked about the importance of building genuine relationships, creating connections, and having mentors who are committed to showing up and pouring into our young people.
📅 We also discussed our plans for the entire 2026–27 school year, giving our mentees a glimpse of the experiences, opportunities, activities, and lessons we have planned. Their excitement and enthusiasm for what’s ahead was contagious! 🔥🙌🏾
📝 Our mentees completed a pre-survey to help us better understand their mindset, interests, experiences, and expectations as they begin this journey with P.O.P.
✍🏾 Our educational lesson for the evening challenged them to write a letter to their future selves—reflecting on who they are today, where they want to go, and the person they hope to become. ❤️
This is only the beginning!
We are excited about the opportunity to show up, give back, and build up each and every one of these young people throughout the 2026–27 school year.
