Eagan parkrun

Eagan parkrun is a free, weekly timed 5k. Every Saturday at 9am, Thomas Lake Park parking lot. Interested in Volunteering? Always free, timed 5k.

parkrun started in the UK back in 2004 as a local, weekly time trial. Over the last decade, it has grown into over 1000 events around the world, every Saturday morning. Video tour is here, https://vimeo.com/827117089. The Eagan parkrun begins on the south side of Thomas Lake Elementary School behind a coned off area. Runners will proceed to the east and run along the outside of the park taking in gorgeous views of natural prairies, tree cover, rolling hills and Thomas Lake. The course loops back to the start and concludes shortly after the second complete loop. The Eagan parkrun was the 9th event in the USA, beginning April 22nd at Thomas Lake Park. What a beautiful morning for parkrun! ☀️

34 parkrunners came out to enjoy the great weather at Eagan parkrun today! We welcomed 4 first timers, including Paul from out of state to get his very first parkrun under his belt. Welcome, Paul!

We also had two parkrun tourists from Canada joining us — thanks for making Eagan part of your parkrun journey! 🇨🇦

Our hometown runners were flying too, with 4 of the top 10 finishers setting Personal Bests! 🔥

And a huge THANK YOU to our fantastic volunteer crew, led by new RD Courtney! 👏 Your time, energy, and enthusiasm are what make Eagan parkrun happen every Saturday.

Congratulations, Pete, on your 50th parkrun, what a great milestone!

We had 33 finishers at Eagan parkrun today, including a couple of visitors who normally run at Brook Leys parkrun in England 🇬🇧. And there were 4 very happy parkrunners celebrating new PBs!

A huge THANK YOU to today’s volunteers! We really appreciate everyone who steps up to help make parkrun happen.

Old friends, new faces, and another great Saturday at Eagan parkrun! 🌳☀️

We had 37 participants join us this week, including 3 first-time parkrunners and 4 fantastic personal bests!

Whether you’re a familiar face or joining us for the very first time, we love seeing you out on the course.

A light drizzle should taper off before the 9am start of Eagan parkrun. We DO plan on running today! We will only cancel if there is lightning, even then we could wait it out a bit if we need to.

This Saturday is also National Sports Sampling Day — celebrated on the 241st day of the year (August 29th) in honor of the 2-4-1 global movement to put the play back into sports. The message is simple: Life’s 2 Short 4 Just 1 Sport! 🏃‍♂️⚽🏀🏊‍♀️🎾
