🏳️‍⚧️✨ TWO WEEKS UNTIL SURGERY!! ✨🏳️‍⚧️

Y’all. We are almost there. 💜

After all the fighting, waiting, planning, fundraising, insurance bu****it, and figuring-out-how-the-hell-we-make-this-happen… in TWO WEEKS, Syre gets the gender-affirming surgery he has worked so hard to get.

And community has SHOWED UP. We have transportation to Colorado. We have housing during recovery. We have a car while we’re there. I am honestly overwhelmed with gratitude for the ways people have loved and held us through this.

AND… we’re making one final push.

Syre is $1,400 away from meeting his insurance deductible. And because he is self-employed, recovery also means weeks without income. The recommended recovery is 8–12 weeks, and while we know he likely won’t be able to take all of that time away from work, I want to give his body as much time as we possibly can to HEAL before he has to go back to caring for other people.

Because this man spends so much of his life holding space for other people’s healing.

Right now, I want us to hold him. 💜
