Weeknd racecap🏁
Friday we ran Marshalltown speedway for the 500$ to win special. Heat race we started 6th and got to 4th and got stuck there due to other drivers racing the line with the best grip and had no way around them, winner of the heatrace ended up getting DQ in post race inspection so we got to redaw and pulled a 4 for the feature! Feature time we rolled off 4th and battled th entire race for 2nd till about 4 to go and was able to pull away for the 2nd place finish! Very happy with how the car ran and put is in good spirits for Saturday!
Saturday we headed to Boone speedway for Bumblebee national 600 to win show. Heat race ended up drawing 57 which put us starting 4th in heat 1. Race kicked off and pulled to 2nd off the start, leader slowly pulled away and we just followed and never looked back. After post race inspection we drew the pole!! Feature time rolled kicked off and we lead the first lap but got passed by a faster car of the field and ran 2nd for a good portion of the race, we eventually fell back to 3rd and ended the race there. During post race inspection 2nd place needed up getting DQ so that moved us to the 2nd place finish spot. We are extremely happy with how the entire weekend went, we will get back to the shop to find more speed for the car in September!
Both nights we had our biggest fan and crew chief there to help make sure the car was set up to go fast and do some hard racing!🏁
