๐2026 CLASS 2A STATE CHAMPIONS ๐
After falling in the opening round of the first-ever double-elimination state tournament, the Thunder refused to let their season end. They responded by winning four straight elimination games to capture the 2026 Class 2A State Championship!
Facing a 4-0 deficit in the championship game, the Thunder battled back once again.
Sophieโs game-tying grand slam in the bottom of the third inning ignited the comeback. Harper came through with a clutch two-out triple before scoring on a passed ball. Maiah delivered a key RBI line drive as the Thunder defeated Wapsie Valley 7-6.
This team never stopped fighting, and now they are STATE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to our players, coaches, families, and Thunder fans on an unforgettable season!
