What an amazing day on court!

Today marked the first of three weeks of trials, and everyone came out ready to play. It was great to see everyone embrace the opportunity to play in different combinations, and the effort, teamwork and energy across the court were fantastic! Plus the cooler weather helped a lot too!

And to anyone who has run trials before, you’ll know just how incredibly time-consuming they are. A huge thank you to our Director of Netball extraordinaire, our Jayne, for all the work behind the scenes, as well as facilitating and umpiring today’s trials. We appreciate you!

Of course, it wouldn’t be the Blizzards without plenty of laughs along the way too (we love a Jonah from Tonga reference IYKYK). We absolutely love this community and everything it represents.

And just like that the countdown to Vegas is well and truly ON! Pass the magnesium salts… I need a post game bath.

We’ll be holding our U.S. Open Netball Championships® trials this Sunday for everyone attending Vegas with the Blizzards.

The aim of the trials is to help us put together the most balanced teams possible. We’ll be looking at combinations, positions, versatility and how everyone works together on court.

Please make sure you arrive on time so we can get started promptly. We want everyone to have a fair opportunity to show what they can bring to the team.

For our non-U.S. Open players, our game will still go ahead as planned and we’d love you to join us! We just ask that you’re a little flexible when it comes to positions, as we’ll need to trial different combinations throughout the game.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and braved the heat! It was a great game and, as always, we loved seeing everyone out on court.

A special shoutout to our set-up and pack-down crews — especially those who somehow managed to get the poles unstuck after they’d spent the morning baking in the sun. True MVPs.

We love our Blizzards community!

🎯 $1200 Fundraising Goal (80% to indoor court hire before the Open, 20% to the club!)

What a fantastic Family Fun Day!

We had such a fun-filled day together with a BBQ lunch, a scavenger hunt, lots of water squirting fun, bubbles everywhere, sidewalk chalk creations, and plenty of laughs playing with the parachute. It was amazing to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves!

It really does take a village, and today was a perfect example of what makes our club so special. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you. Thank you for your time, generosity, and incredible team spirit.

Great game today, Blizzards! It was a scorcher out there, but everyone played so well! We love seeing new faces out on court so if you’ve been in the fence about playing please come and join us!

There was a lot of positivity, encouragement and laughs which is exactly what we’re all about!

Now it’s time to rest, rehydrate and recover. See you all next week!
