I've always believed that athletes deserve to understand the "why" behind what they're doing.
Coaching isn't just about handing someone a workout and hoping for the best. It's about helping athletes understand their bodies, move with more confidence, and make informed decisions about their training.
Whether you're training for a marathon, a triathlon, a golf tournament, or simply looking to stay strong and active for life, the goal is the same: build a body that supports what you want to do.
I'm grateful for athletes like Karen who trust me to be part of that journey.

Summer is here, which means it's time to talk priorities.
Maybe it's toes in the sand. Maybe it's a daily sweet treet. Maybe it's sweaty hikes, early tee times, lake days, family vacations, or simply spending more time outside.
I'm a big believer that training should support your life, not take away from it. The goal isn't just to get stronger. It's to be able to fully enjoy the things you love doing.
So tell me below, what's your summer non-negotiable?

Today marks one year since my mom passed away.
I've thought a lot about what to say, and the truth is, I'm not sure there are ever perfect words for something like this.
What I do know is that grief changes over time, but it doesn't disappear. You learn how to keep living, laughing, working, and showing up, all while carrying the love and loss of someone who meant so much to you.
Today, I'm thinking about my mom and all the people who are navigating life without someone they love. If that's you, my heart is with you.
I miss her every day. ❤️

It’s easy to overcomplicate things.
In both life and fitness — more exercises, more volume, more structure. But most of the time, progress comes from doing a few things well and staying consistent with them.
The right approach usually isn’t more, it’s clearer.
Tell me, what’s one thing you’ve simplified lately?

A lot of people try to solve problems by doing more.
But most of the time, the better question is: what’s actually causing the issue in the first place?
How your body moves underneath the work matters. Position, balance, tension, and how you’re using energy all influence how training feels and performs over time.
Sometimes the solution isn’t adding more. It’s looking at the movement underneath it first.
Share this with a friend who always tries to solve problems by doing “more”.

Mobility isn’t about forcing range.
A lot of people approach it by trying to stretch more or push deeper into positions, but if your body can’t control that position, it usually won’t hold onto it for very long.
Most of the time, mobility is less about doing more and more about creating space your body can actually use. When position improves and control is there, movement tends to feel more natural without having to force it.
Try shifting your focus from “how far can I go?” to “how well can I move once I get there?”
