Last fall our team flew down to Panama to explore a new river, a new country and a totally new environment that we have never experienced before. We hiked through the jungle, across the continental divide and paddled out to the sea.

NEW LINES: PANAMA is that story — the descents, the mistakes, the moments we almost turned back, and the ones that reminded us why we never do.
Now we’re bringing it home.
Join us at Kokopelli HQ on September 11th for the world premiere — the first time this film hits a screen, told the way it deserves to be told: together, in the room, with the people who understand exactly what it took to get here.
Free event. Limited seats. RSVP online

Catch more fish with a packraft. Packrafts allow you to get to spots other fisherman can’t. Whether it’s getting out to the middle of an alpine lake, floating a remote stretch of river, or using it to cross lake or rivers to get to new spots, you can reach untouched fishing holes and land that big one you’ll be telling stories about for years.

Safety Sunday: On multi day river trips, you have to pack out your p**p. With big rafts, you can carry a groover which is a big metal ammo can to pack out waste. But for packrafts, you need a smaller set up. The is a great little system for packing out your waste on packrafting trips.

When the whole crew goes with the flow

Safety Sunday: Doing a bow rescue after a swim. This is a pretty cool way to help someone out who lost their boat. With them hanging on the front you can see them at all times, talk to them easier and it keeps their head above the water a little better than if they were hanging off the back. It does feel slower and it could put them in more danger in a low flow river but a good one to keep in your tool kit and practice.

Last day of the we did a lap on the Upper Main from Banks to Beehive. This is a great class 3 run with big waves, warm water and warmer temps than the rest of the other valleys. The water was still a little muddy from the flash floods up the south fork from 2 days ago.

Day 4 of the Packraft Round Up. We headed up to the upper south fork of the Payette River for the Kirkham section. The night before a thunderstorm caused a small flash flood which washed a bunch of dirt and fire debris into the water making it muddy. This section is really fun with a few great class 3s.

Day 3 of the we ran the Staircase section of the lower South Fork of the Payette to the confluence of the Main. This is really fun class 4 run with lots of moves to make around boulders and holes.
