Radom question:
What is something that you do not
buy the generic version of?

In 2019, I heard Amy Gerhartz song Hold On for the first time.

There’s a line in the chorus that says, “Good things are gonna come.”

It was like she was speaking directly to me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so much so that I did something that was probably a little weird. I tracked Amy down, called her, and asked if she would be okay with me naming my business after those lyrics.

Thankfully, she said yes!

What started with a song turned into a friendship I never saw coming.

Amy is one of those people who has a way of making you feel hopeful. She’s an incredibly talented musician, an amazing life and business coach, and she’s currently out on tour doing what she does best, using her music and her story to make a difference.

One of the things I’ve realized over the years is that our lives are shaped by people in ways we don’t always expect. Some are only there for a season, some longer, but that doesn’t make their impact any less meaningful.

Amy, thank you for your friendship, your encouragement, and for creating a song that ended up changing the direction of my life in more ways than you probably know.

Keep doing what you do. The world needs more of it. 💕

I have had a complicated relationship with Mondays.

For a long time, I hated them. The Sunday Scaries would start creeping in before the weekend was even over, and I would get anxious before Monday even arrived.

Then I finally figured out what was underneath all of that. I made some changes, and for about two years, I actually LOVED Mondays. They felt like a fresh start. A new week. A chance to get a ton of things accomplished.

Then COVID happened and none of us knew what day it was.

Somewhere along the way, I slipped back into feeling anxious about Mondays. The thing is, I am not entirely sure why. Nothing terrible happens on Mondays. They are just … Mondays.

So now I am working on changing the relationship again.

Monday mornings have become gratitude, a few deep breaths, yoga, and, whenever I can, a little time outside. Looking back at this photo from a few weeks ago reminds me that nature has a way of reminding me that I do not have to rush into the week at full speed.

I am still working on it, but Mondays feel a little more peaceful when I stop treating them like something I need to survive.

How about you? Mondays: love them or hate them?

The second half of the year doesn’t always need to start by pushing harder.

Sometimes it starts by disconnecting from the noise and getting quiet enough to hear yourself think.

This weekend I did just that.

Just fresh air, the sound of birds chirping, movement, a cold creek to sit in after my legs were burning from a hike! Totally offline.

It’s amazing how much mental space returns when your phone stops demanding your attention.

As you head into the second half of the year, don’t ask:

“What more do I need to do?”

Instead ask:

“What do I need to disconnect from so I can reconnect with what actually matters?”

I heard someone say once that the business you start is rarely the one you end up with.

At the time, I nodded like, “yeah, totally”—but I didn’t realize how true that would be … not just for business, but for life.

I got married in my early 20s and built a life I thought would last forever.Spoiler: it didn’t.

Years later, I started a business that was going great—one I was proud of, one I did feel aligned with. But then things shifted. What once fit didn’t anymore.

Sound familiar?

Maybe you’re in a season where the thing you thought would be it no longer feels right.
Maybe the plan you made years ago doesn’t fit the person you’ve become.
Or maybe you’re realizing that it’s time to pivot, even if you’re scared to.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

✔️You are allowed to outgrow things.
✔️You are allowed to change your mind.
✔️You are allowed to choose something different without needing to justify it to anyone.

Nothing ever ends up exactly how we pictured it—and that’s not failure. That’s life!

So if you’re sitting in the middle of the unknown questioning the old plan, wondering what comes next—you’re not lost. You’re on the right path!

The start of a new month doesn’t magically mean a fresh start—but it is a decent excuse to pause and take inventory.

Ask yourself:

– What have I actually accomplished this year?
– What’s still sitting on the back burner?
– And where the hell has my energy been going—because some of it’s definitely been wasted?

Make this month count—not because it’s July 1st, but because you’re not getting another July 2026. This one’s it.

Burn your energy on something that matters.

Ummmm have I mentioned how much I love summer and the sun?

I am an unapologetic sun lover. ☀️

The warmth on my skin. The light. The way everything feels more alive.

Yes, I wear sunscreen and hats, but don’t ask me to stay inside when the sky is handing out free therapy.

Give me sunrise runs. Golden hour walks.

The sun is life-giving. Mood-lifting. Confidence-boosting. And honestly, I’ll take a few fine lines if it means I spent my life glowing. (But yes, sunscreen of course).

And boy am I missing Mexican right now!!

Not everything needs your opinion. Not everyone needs your approval.

Someone else simply being themselves isn’t an attack on you.

You don’t have to understand it. You just have to let people live.

Seriously—just let people live!
