A client recently sent us a message asking if we could make modifications to a rod even though we didn’t build it ourselves.

Our answer? Absolutely!

This 7’11” G Loomis pitching rod was extremely tip-heavy, which was causing the client fatigue after spending a day on the water.

After making a few modifications, we were able to get the rod neutrally balanced right at the reel seat. The result is a rod that feels much lighter in hand, is more comfortable to fish with, and helps reduce fatigue throughout a long day on the water.
